"Let me get you a new one." Eriksson walked over to his liquor cabinet next to his desk and pulled out a bottle of Scotch. "758. Nice year for scotch."

Kell accepted the bottle of scotch gladly, pouring himself a new glass "Indeed it is, so what troubles you my friend?" Kell asked

Eriksson look at Kell while pouring himself a glass. "I don't know Kell, it all seems so hopeless nowadays. I mean we've been picking up vast reports of Nomads gathering in Iota and increased activity within the Omicrons. It's obvious they want to get rid of us, once and for all. And the only option the admiralty has is to start building up defenses. I mean are they blind? With that kind of fleet the Nomads could erase half the planets out of the sector and how could possibly a small fleet such as ours defeat such a thing? It's impossible. I mean, our agents are good pilots, but sometimes even skill can be undermined by sheer numbers..." And with ending that sentence he took a shot of Scotch.

Kell put his glass down abruptly, a look of apparent shock flashing across his brow "You're sure the nomads are engaged in a massive fleet build up? Do you have the reports on hand? Kell stated, visibly unnerved by this development

Kell stared at his old friend in disbelief "Shab Eriksson, shab, I honestly don't know what to say, it is worse than I thought though, what actions can be taken?" Kell replied, consternation apparent in his voice

We can't do anything except prepare ourselves the best we can in hopes we can drive them back...But chances are slim...very slim...Best thing to do is probably negotiate with the Nomads, but we ever got close to that now did we?" Eriksson opened the window and leaned forward putting his elbows on the edge.
