Mining

Greetings gentlemen,
after long innactivity i have decided to return my kruger miner to the game. It was deleted (obviously) so i created new one, bought hegemon, equiped with transport mining turrets, got kruger ID(without tag) and went to dresden.

I have tried to mine in both daumann and krugger field but nothing has dropped. So i am asking:

- Is there possible that all fields where closed because the were mined out? I thought that dresden is mainly dead with occasional traders and pirates crossing.

Other thing is that i have gone with my liberty char to the colorado to try mine something(as it is new char with rhino, civilian ID) but no drop at all... I am absolutelly sure that i was in the middle of mining zone or somewhere close to it.

Could someone give me an advice what happend to mining zones and where it is still possible to mine something? Every zone is viable as chars are new and it is still possible to change affilation(IMG, Kruger, Daumann, BMM, ALG and so).

Any hints will be highly appreciated.

I stopped reading there, because I found your problem.

You need an IFF matching your ID in order to mine, in addition to a mining ship, mining ID, and mining turrets. Note also that unlike several months back, you actually need to hit the rocks with your mining turrets--it's not enough to just have them equipped.

I think the Colorado fields are all disabled.

For Omega 7, I have no idea, maybe you weren't in the brown-highlighted spotss on the navmap, only in those areas you will be able to receive any drops. You also receive no drops, i you are too far above or below the mining spot.

Better go to omega-7. With Kruger ID and IFF you can mine silver ore and sell it in Narita in New Tokyo for 7000.

Ok, i ll tag my hegemon, and try it then. I haven't got a clue that there is not possible to mine without it anymore. As for colorado, it is my bad, i haven't noticed big red DISABLED in mining guide... But dresden has looked good.

Ok, goot to know, but both daumann fields give me nothing too.

So it looks impossible to mien something in dresden, looks like all fields are disabled. For others who will brose this thread, Dresden is dead, try omega 7 instead but be prepared for pirate activity.

Did you try the northern field ? The one with the hessian base in it ?
