Today I was reading Ronin's faction info and I found it very interesting. This faction will represent something new and different to disco and it will bring a lot of unpredictable encounters between the 3 Homes and their allies. The ways of the Emperor are logical, "the enemies of his enemies are his friends". He could sign a treaty and fight for Gallia but they would probably use him as tool to conquer entire Kusari or to simply kill him. Probably that is why he choose to live and fight next to the bretonians, which from the info he found as honorable enemies, instead of signing his own death sentence by challenging the entire bretonian fleet.
I just have one question. If the ZOI is right, what is the problem to return to Kusari from Tau-23 which is direct way to Kyushu? There are several other systems which could lead to Kusari: Tau-29, 42, 44 and 45. Maybe the ZOI is still under constuction cuz right now it doesnt make sense.
P/S: I think this faction could lead to the end of the war between Kusari and Bretonia in the distant unknown years when we play 4.87:)
I will just mention again my concern with the Ronin having access to the Ryuujin which is not available to the KNF.
If the cargo limits are dropped on ID next update you can of course disregard this comment.
I'm the most curious about the potential cooperation between Gaians and Ronins, the actual reasons for such a cooperation to exist and so on. I guess that you, Zelot, as a developer, can be the most trustworthy source of news about the stable part of the storyline which is going to happen regardless of anything, but are the plans on Gaians built-in into the events-between-the-mod-versions or are them the assumptions and hopes on a certain roleplay between the aforesaid parties?

Furthermore, if you initiated any diplomatic contact with the Gaians (considered terrorists by Bretonia), you can expect to be curbstomped by your new-found hosts (who still don't particularly like you).
You're already living on Bretonian credit by that point in the storyline. You really can't afford to be playing agent provocateur with Bretonian unlawfuls.
Especially considering the Gaians have a decidedly neutral stance to the GRN and wouldn't be able to help you in your fight against them anyway.
EDIT: Also, for everyone else - the reason they can't go home isn't the fact that they're cut off (although that is a factor). It's more the fact that there was a coup in mainland Kusari, in which Kishiro takes control. The Emperor was visiting the front with his elite loyalist forces at the time, all of whom are considered awkward by the new regime. They can't go home for political reasons, just as much as geographic ones.

Catch us working with them and you can do something about it. Aside from that, I can't imaging that the Bretonians are in such a good situation that they could turn away such a big help in their house defense.
As for the Kusari thing, that is part of it Jammi, I also want to remove the chances that the ronin get into a skirmish with the KNF, which is against our roleplay. And I think that would happen if the ronin showed up in Kusari proper.
