Left out of the global movement into a space war, just like they were left out of WW1 and WW2, because, lets face it, do you expect any african country to bootstrap itself into an industrialized nation?

South Africa and Rhodesia were both involved in WW1 and WW2. South Africa and Rhodesia were very different countries then compared to now. South Africa is an industrialised nation with a sizable economy. Then again, how long that will last depends on how long most of us put up with the crap from the ANC.
