I played trough the main storyline and the various guild quests with an assassin/thief/archer/dualwielder/mage/enchanter. Finished on 60something level and it was pretty epic. Thou I lost interest somewhere not long after the 100 enchant, smiting and alchemy. The game on Master became too easy.

So now I play a breton illusionist-thief, not caring about the plot and wandering around. Rage spells are fun, fear also helps a lot. :)

While that's fun, my problem is that it limits you into only ever using that shout to be effective. IMO you're better off with enchanted weapons and still having the variety of shouts--Marked for Death takes people out pretty quick.

My god this game is buggy. Entire main quest lines are stuck. I have to talk to Ullfrick to organise a truce but he and his bear skin wearing mate refuse to give me the proper dialoque. turns out something I did waaaaayyy back has caused the game to bug. There is a workaround, but jeez. Is it normal to release buggy games these days?

It's kinda' normal from the TES series. After some patches and mods and whatnots, they get cooler. Just saw how Morrowind looks like these day, I might even replay it.

In case anyone playing Skyrim does NOT know - (which you all should) - this site is probably THE best place to find information out on all the Elder Scrolls games without having to dive through a forum Q&A. Note that it's not the best place to get mods and such.

As for it being buggy ... there are some bugs, yes. However, one of the <strike>bugs</strike> features is the radiant AI. So rather than forcing you to be stuck with the same response from the NPC's, they made it such that your actions in the game can affect what you can or cannot do later on.

That can cause issues depending upon when you do certain quests - because some of the quests are NOT required. This also means that if you pick something up doing a dungeon crawl that you probably shouldn't have - you hadn't activated the appropriate quest already - you may either find yourself stuck with that item, or simply not be able to activate the quest later on.

That's also why Skyrim, like Oblivion, is probably one game that you OUGHT to have the Players Guide (or a reasonable fascimile) for - there are LOTS of ways you can screw yourself. (That's why I've been toting a lute for a LONG time.)
