No, because War is a relatively simple matter. A treaty is not, because there are agreements, concessions and Paperwork involved. It's easy to start a war, it's not so easy to stop one.

Except the war is already stopped, the storyline told us how it goes.

Well, your describing the reign of King Igiss the First, who unfortunately tired of his tyrannical rule, and retreated to his endless simulations of mechanized warfare.

In the absence of the king, his peasantry are now free to seek the happiness and liberty that was missing in there lives.

No, no they are not, we still follow the storyline.

C'mon people, we all know that the main plot of disco is not decided by common mortals. The Ronin are an interesting twist in the plot. Interesting enough to be curious about it.

The treaty does exist, so as the Ronin faction. What's in the said treaty? Kogen and Queen Carina knows it. Do I want to read it? Sure, it would ease my roleplay to know as much background story as I can. But it isn't imperative or urgent, and the people who deal with the plot deal with enough other stuff.

What I'm unsure about is that why am I reading this discussion? In time, we'll know more, be it the actual text of such treaty, or news about how Bretonia and Kusari reacts to the new situation. Until than, we play along as we can or think so. Right?

A decent idea.

Quote:One of the first consequences of the coup was an attempt to establish contact with the Bretonian government and discuss the terms for an armistace. Bretonia agreed, and Kusari could now use their ships stationed in Leeds to counter the Gallic onslaught.

Ohoh, but wait. I found a very interesting portion. I can see now why you enjoy the Storyline so much.

Quote:Written by Igiss and Zelot, proofreading by Zelot.

How convenient

The point is, that one line describes only that Kusari won't be shot and can defend themselves against Gallia. It says nothing about supplies, about zones they can enter, their rights, ect.

Yes, absolutely Kogen and Carina know it, but how do we as players know what is said? How can we act accordingly? It helps set boundaries for BOTH sides.

I am highly amused that it took 128 posts for someone to point out that I had a hand in writing the storyline.

Peace requires cooperation. If you're not willing to cooperate, I guess you should expect to get shot by BAF and BPA players as well as Gallics then... I mean, they're going to shoot you if you dont bow before them >_>

Hey, you might end up fighting on the side of the Gallics against your original enemy! That'd be something.

What I'm saying is, you can't enforce peace. If you try, it becomes war.
