Coladas are intentionally made "useless" when compared to tizonas.
Put 2 tizona's and 4 salamanca's, and you'l be able to shoot for 12-13 seconds.
Because, all bombers abused them.
And you'l do only 1600 less shield damage per second.
Titan has much more energy then almost any other fighter.
15k capacity and 1.5k regain, it's much better then viper's 11k capacity and 1.1k regain.
I use only 1 tizona on my Viper, because, if i used 2, power disappear like insane.
I used Titan for a while on PVP, and with 2 tizonas i had no energy problems.

No, they don't. When compared with their armor, they have much less bots/bats.

i just had a nice little one on one in manhatten orbit ( my bhg bomber vs. a corsair bomber ). allright, its not really fighter - but slow enough that i can hit something, too:laugh:. the fight lasted 5 minutes, was fun throughout all the time - and ended quickly ( i think it was a supernova right into my hull ) but not sure, t here was occasional red lag.
anyway - i think the problem is really more the pilots than the fighters. average or below average pilots have some great fun ( provided they are fighting against other non ace pilots ) - the fights are refreshing and not too long.
personally, i could live with most of the suggestions made here - it makes little difference for me if the projectiles are fast or slow ( when its somthing like a 100 diffrence to the original ) - i wouldn t even mind increasing the weapondamage ( excluding special weapons of course, cause they are balanced well [inferno, nova, Snova, MR etc. ])
but how long will it take untill the good pilots get used to it. for a rookie its not exactly easy to dodge fighter shots. but one can learn it. when the projectiles are more difficult to dodge, i predict that it won t take too long untill some of the players have mastered it again.
so what can help there? - non roleplayish measures can do it - if you want a quicker fight - you can take off parts of the additional armor or mount a smaller shield. ( stupid idea you d say ) - but its like a handicap you re playing in. fighting with only armor 3 and lvl9 shields - and you ll still win vs. most of the weaker pilots, i am sure.( <--- that suggestion helped? - no? thought so:laugh::laugh:)
This is my suggestion to the problem.....
Rather than giving massive batts and botts...
nerf that part on fighters.......
give them 1 regen instead of two..meaning bombers get around 50 bb and fighters get around 25bb
The regen rate needs to drop a little on caps.....max 300 for a BS. and please please fix the dand cruise disrupters.... they still dont track as good as vanilla.
I hate PvP cause I know I will lose...why? cause I cant exploit a mistake
they just regen and I have a short attention span.
also some cool shield buster for inner systems. like Inferno but half in all aspects. May be purple color.
Reducing bots/bats for all vessels isn't an option, i believe.
BS with 300 bots could heal up maybe 1/3rd of his hull, if he has armor upgd.
It demands much more testing and balancing, then just increasing the speed of weps.
Jinx, i actually done what you said.
And i'm thinking of buying a Falcon as a Xeno, to die faster:yes:
