So is the Corsair-SCRA split the reason why you are so opposed to the fact that the SCRA's main ZoI is in the Omega systems? Because if it is, I call bias and the SCRA ID should be handled without any of your input.
All ideologies, reasoning and justifications aside, it's not like it is unseen or even uncommon in history for different groups to go to war over absolutely ridiculous excuses. Here we have two parties, the Corsairs who are well known for being an anarchistic paradise of "might makes right" pirates, and the SCRA who have drawn a great part of their membership from that exact group. One day they decide to up the ante a bit, they find the most ridiculous reason they can find to justify taking whatever toys they can scavenge and going off to another system from which they can wage war on everyone - now including the Corsairs.
I honestly see no issue here, and you as a history teacher shouldn't either. Provided you're not biased on the subject that is.

Don't lie; SCRA has no ZoI.
gone four years, first day back: Zoners still getting shot in Theta :|
Not yet anyway. They are kind of limiting themselves to the Omega systems more and more. Eventually all closed factions will get opened and that will be the end of the sirius wide raid.
SCRA and contraband: I cannot identify an appreciable difference between the SCRA ID and the, say, Outcast/Corsair/Hessian IDs in terms of issued demands beyond that the SCRA need post what is and is not contraband prior to demanding it.
Corsair: May demand cardamine and destroy the vessel if it refuses to cooperate. May demand a vessel turn away from Crete and destroy the vessel if it refuses to cooperate.
SCRA: May demand cardamine if Cardamine is posted as contraband and destroy the vessel if it refuses to cooperate. May demand a vessel turn away from Crete and destroy the vessel if it refuses to cooperate.
Outcast ZOI: Damn near everywhere. Likely way too large.
SCRA ZOI: Damn near everywhere. Likely way too large.
So what's the friggin problem.

Whatever Blodo. The SCRA wanders everywhere from Delta to Champagne. Don't try to BS a forum of BS'ers.
Being as the SCRA is committed to overthrowing the corrupt (no lie, they really are) governments of the houses, and the completely screwed up governments (if you can call them that) of Malta and Crete...
...our ZoI is every damn where, and no, it is not too big.

ZoI isn't Zone of Interest, It's Zone of Influence.
Although i do happen to agree with dusty on the whole contraband thing. It makes sense for the SCRA to enforce their laws within their ZoI, not just their home system.
But what concerns me is what i pointed out earlier.
' Wrote:Rather it's the selective reading and a certain interpretation that turns

into
- Can.... destroy ships if they..... are affiliated with a group at war with the Coalition.
Added onto an stripping of the protections of civilians from SCRA.
Moreover, what makes that super scary is the organization.
A pirate is no big deal.
A gang of pirates is scary.
A military gunning for traders with no need to demand is supersuper scary and what Govedo here fears.
And, as Disco has proven time and time again, what can be abused will be.
EDIT: Just what is a shiop affiliated with a group at war?
Bowex cuse the BAF is at war with the SCRA? Or a ship part of a faction that has actively declared war?
And does that clause negate the normal rules for shooting transports?

Oh my.
I simply stated out that 2 IDs lost their civilian protective clauses with no reason( SCRA ID and HF ID)
and one ID (RoS ID) got a way too vague explanation what they can attack and what they cannot- according to me adding protective civilian clause will fix this it. SCRA ID had also not defined what is contraband and what it could demand and what it cannot.
Without those clauses this 3 IDs are clearly Terrorist IDs, 2 of them with some ZoI and one without any ZoI, i still don't get the point of trolling around and accusing me for pointing out the obvious.
Stop blaming me for giving input that was requested to give:

Stop trolling each other and bring corpses from your closets that are more then several years old. Stop being hypocrite to each other, I am sure that nobody here wants 4.85 8 nomad gunned scopions back except for the people that have flown it. I am also sure that this factions with the said IDs would request putting back the protective clauses if they have no intention to hurt civilians, anything other will be pure hypocrisy and will show the clear intentions of the said ID users- "PvP all that I can see"
TL:TR version:
If the admins are np with giving this 3 closed factions Terrorist IDs with other names, we players don't have any influence over it, if not then you can put the civilian protective clauses back. That is all simple worded. Since Zelot is admin and he got my feedback this topic served its purpose.

Not at all, as I told Dusty earlier, I am not opposed to them being able to demand artifacts. I do have some issues with the latitude the ID allows them, but that has nothing to do with the Corsairs. The rest of it, is just an intellectual exercise for me. I like discussing factions and their histories here, how they got to where they are, and how people view those things currently. I find it nice to see how the current SCRA administration views the reasons for the Corsair/SCRA split. My posts in this thread arent really about restricting the ID, although I think it could use a little thinning, but more just a discussion of the faction rp.
Really this has been a fun thread for me, and I am enjoying it. Hopefully people here don't view all discussions here as some attempt to nerf this or that. SCRA is just one of those factions I really like to talk about and one that's rp I think has great potential, and is really freaking interesting.
I applied to the SCRA way back in the day. Not saying that for any other reason than that some people might find it surprising.
Seriously, I am much more interested in why the SCRA think that going after luxury items would be bad for them than I am in any way about the ID.
