You're not in a conflict, you get shot so you dont get into one.

Its simple really, you got shot a few times, died, and now you're looking for reasons as to why you got shot. Silly you is silly. [Image: emoticon-0118-yawn.gif]
PvP whoring all I can see does not belong to RP server. Silly you silly you.

' Wrote:Alright. This time I'll try to be constructive about given subject taking the dispute btween Zelot and Aphil in concideration. As far as it could look like a flame it's not intented, I'm seriuos.
Fair enough, but I need to point out you're not exactly accurate with your observations.
Quote:I. SCRA
What strikes me about them is strange self claimed heroism to save sirius workers from oppresion. They live in one system, have no planets nor population (you can't accomodate hundreds of thousends in few carved rocks) no matter how you try to cover it up in rp. And yet still manages to assemble huge fleets and wage -war- (war? for real?) nearly against everyone they encounter. Be it outsider groups (sairs, casts) or be forces of offial houses, be it nomads.
False. We have Colonized Volgograd and JiangXi (Though JiangXi is less populated now due to the Phantom Stratobombing it.) We do have the industry to back up our fleet. Though, I hardly see how two Osiris's, seven Typhoons, and then the Gunboats and Snubs is a huge fleet. If you notice the way we fight, it's hardly a war, it's more like guerrilla combat.

Quote:1. Allying themselves with groups which are in terms of ideology contradicts to their own. For example IND matter Zelot risen here. Then you such things happening it really strikes me under what criteria SCRA sees other groups as "good" and "bad". Or SCRA in actuallity is rotten and corrupted in the governing body (how all radical left regimes are). Or allying themselves with Red Hessians... then again, hessians are Nationalistic group, then SCRA as I assume are internationals. Bundschuh who are mainly liberals.. Well maybe these facts can be explained by a desperete situation SCRA are in, due to being isolated... but here we come to another problem.
I've already said my opinion on the IND, relations with the Hessians are cold at present and we don't really associate with the other Rheinland Unlawfuls at the moment.

Quote:2. Confronting enemies, ussaly with brute force rather than anything else. Also having all that fleet doesn't reflect the desperate situation SCRA should be while being at -war- with nearly everyone in Sirius. This seems to lead to a conclusion that SCRA are self sustainable. If that so, then why they need all those strange alliances?

Brute Force? Hardly, Brute Force would be deploying a wall of Battleships and steam-rolling everything. If you notice, very rarely do we deploy anything larger then the Gunboat, our strike forces are Snubcraft the great majority of the time. Sure, we're at war with nearly everyone, but our location and our combat doctrines allows us to pick and choose who we fight and when. We're not being invaded ourselves at the moment, so we have the luxury of picking and choosing. One of the advantages of not holding massive amounts of territory.

Quote:3. SCRA and target priorities. As Zelot said, it would make more sense to strike luxury goods or corporation property. The open confrontation is something such group shouldn't be able to allow themselves due to potencial damage they might suffer and resources they might lose.
As I said before, it's not open confrontation so much as guerrilla warfare. I have no delusion, if the Corsair managed to get an invasion fleet going, we'd be screwed. The fact that we can strike on our own terms changes that. We heavily restrict the usage of Capitals and even Gunboats, for the simple RP reason that we can churn out Snubcraft. Our snubs are designed to be heavily mass produced, making them very expendable. Gunboats are mass produced, but not to the scale of snubcraft so not so expendable. Cruisers and Battleships are a whole other story, we don't deploy them that much because while we do have the resources for them, it's so much more cost-effective for us to invest in Snubcraft instead.

Quote:4. "We don't attack civilians." I beg to differ. When I was in SCRA durning all that SCRA's civi war, I had Straw Dogs character. We were given freedom to attack anyone. I can repeat anyone including simple cargo haulers or ore miners.

For lols it was commented like: "keyboard warriors fight to provide mouse warriors with targets". Apart from few 'roleplayers' it was mainly consisted from PvP-whores, some of them were working in "sina's gang" on regular basis.
Key phrase being the Civil War. The Straw Dogs were Volkhan, which we wanted everyone to hate. Yes, we had freedom to kill anyone, but that lasted a few days until we realized how ridiculous it was.

Quote:From the example I provided they do shoot civilians, not on regular basis, but do. And propably they don't want to close a window for further develpoments they might want to have or to lose flexibility on which they can act.
Apart from your example, we very rarely if ever shoot Civilians.

Quote:And now back to the ID matter. The problem with ID is that it allows too much stuff. Quite a few developers/administrators already complains about strange self written SCRA rp which disregards balance in many ways and really seems like pure powergaming. Leaving an open ID would allow SCRA to do strange stuff even further, which, IMO, shouldn't be allowed.
I'm pretty sure, as far as I know that the ID's aren't written by the Coalition. >.>

Now for Bindo,
Quote:That permabanned person was a member of the High Command, and was backed to the hilt by not only other members of the HC (some of whom are still there) but by your faction leader. In fact, Alvin argued many times to reduce Sina's sentence until the eventual perma-perma-ban was handed down from on high.
That spirit of Sina can still be seen even today in how the SCRA handles feedback and how it operates.
Keyword is was. "Backed to the hilt"? Hardly. We make sure to keep up a united front on the Forums and Skype, but in HC Chat believe me, there was argument. Alvin only argued against the punishment of posting while banned, and only because it was in our Feedback and that was handled politely. Furthermore, the only ones who are still there are Me, Matt and Terry. I never agreed with Sina but I admit I didn't really oppose him either, Matt openly opposed him and Terry did his own thing.
Quote:That spirit of Sina can still be seen even today in how the SCRA handles feedback and how it operates.
Show me in our feedback, without digging back months, how this is true.

As a personal contribution to this discussion, I would like to say that all ex Phantoms, ex Keepers, IND, Reavers, HF and RoS members should be lined up and shot. The members who are in more than one of those should be shot the according number of times. Did I forget anyone?

EDIT: Ah yes. Jeremy Hunter.

EDIT: Let me explain a little bit further.
The vast majority of the food on Crete comes from outside, and is paid for or brought home by pirating or artefact trading. It is then distributed to the people of Crete.
The people of Crete then A) mine artifacts and metals and B) build ships for the pirates and artefact smugglers.

What? It does.

Same as it makes sense for Liberty to be Communist, Kusari, et all.

Communism only works for all, when all have it.
