now i know this has ben brought up in the past and i'm not sure how it ended up back then but with the HUGE influx of people that either don't visit the website to know the rules or just don't want to follow the rules i think we need to revisit this.
would it be a good idea to password the server....put it in a pinned thread. maybe have it at the end of the rules? heck i'd even change the password from time to time so that everyone had to visit the forums frequently...maybe once a month?
with the global server down (i think) would it do any good at filtering out the ones that "stumble" across our server?
my opinion on this is that it may not completely stop the non-rp'rs but it may slow them down and every little bit will help.
How many times has this been discussed ? And with the same answer ... Not going to happen, too restrictive,
and way too hard to police. Locked servers never encourage anyone to use them. So no poll please, nothing is
going to change in the foreseeable future.
Thanks guys ...

If people aren't going to bother going to the forums just to find the password then they really don't exactly deserve to be on the server, considering you cant roleplay very well if you don't use the forums...
While being quite funny, your sig was the biggest one i've ever seen so far. No more than 700x250 please. ~utrack http://pastebin.com/SYQXBufs
Passwording the server MIGHT cut down on the terrible oorp behavior that has been exhibited but its not a guarantee, there are people out there who actually go out of their way to piss people off, and having the password at the bottom of the rules isn't going to stop them
it'll stop all the well meaning but ignorant folk we all once were.
Passwords would only make it frustrating. How many times do you think people would just share the password with friends? That would not make people read the rules, just make them search the forum.
