you seem to deliberately overlook all the other suppliers of food to the corsair empire.
also I'd like to mention that it was ages ago when I actually saw a zoner delivering food to crete.
Our faction weaknesses are numerous , like our trade being solely based on artifacts for example,
or our lack of combat allies.
being the kid nobody likes is also a faction weakness.
I fully embrace those weaknesses.

We never attacked any transport taking supplies to any of our bases. We even spared lolwuts taking IC or Daumann ships into Gamma because it would have been against our laws.

We are not shooting zoners and this is not an anti-zoner crusade. What we want if to secure our home. Not our borders, not some distant outpost, our home system and the only corsair planet. It's not Q_Q about them running to Theta but about them launching from there. The same way you don't like corsairs shooting you in Theta we don't like all our enemies shooting us in Gamma.

The last Omicroner transport landed on Crete about a year and a half ago and FP9 or Corfu NEVER sent any supplies our way.

Sure, the lore says that they supply us AND we supply them but you seem to use the lore argument when it suits you and disregard the same lore is when you don't like it. Open your eyes and see both sides of the coin. Grow up and let he adults deal with is (which we are doing) instead of whining all over the forum about how OoRP and against the lore our actions are. Try to find the source of the problem and see what you can do about it instead of Q_Q'ing about the result.

You claim we're not respecting our faction's weakness and our lore? What's the zoners' weakness and lore? What about the zoners spamming those very "rare" juggies, refusing to send food to Gamma (that is why the first war began, btw), rebuilding the bio-domes over night, claiming their stations have indestructible shields or fleets ready to raid Gamma and "defeat" the corsairs when Hessians are failing at it for a few hundreds of years?

Seems there's a few things one can count on in life: Death, Taxes, and Zoner threads about the same bloody topic.

The only way we can "win" is to basically troll them and all zoners whenever they log in-game, to effectively make their playing time in-game, as zoners, so horrorific and frusterating that they will do what we want.

I can't believe you people. Freelancer Discovery is a 10+ year old Mod for a dead video game, and you're basically saying that you want other players to have a "horrific playing time." Everyone's playing time should be fun. The struggle in Theta should be fun. Corsair-Zoner wars, just like Corsair-Hessian, Order-Nomad, every single conflict in game, should be fun.

This is a game about 80 factions fighting each other for power. It's a really cool premise. Why would you want to take it personally and "troll" players into leaving a Mod whose population may disappear any day now? Malaclypse is gone. Bear is gone. When I joined the server 3 years ago, a lot of new players came on the scene who quickly became old, longterm vets. A lot of those old timers have left and not very many have replaced them.

You got it wrong. This far I've beein engaged in Corsair vs Everyone else who wants to shoot sairs confict at theta. Strangely on "everyone else" side. I personally don't care about this kind of 'trolling'. It's kinda fun actually. But there is always some people who do care.

The point he was trying to make is that there are no other methods for war in this server except for that mentioned. However, the way you understood it isn't surprising at all. Your schooling tone or looking down on people doesn't fit the "moral post" you are trying to make here requiriments. Heh. Oh well.


Also about foor shipments. Corsairs ship food from freeports not zoners. It just seems that some people on corsair "side" might not know that.

Might be Corsairs even ship food on their return trips when exporting artifacts? Nice route by the way and one of the few halfways profitable ones remaining for corsairs!
Also it seems many groups are more than willing to supply the Corsairs and fill in the gaps angered Zoners left.

And for the whole ruining the fun for many players thing- hopefully it is just a short period to show people they actually liked to be around corsairs in O41 and Theta and that their fun is spoiled aslong as it is possible to launch attacks on Gamma from there. It is quite sad to use this approach to be honest, but i too think it is the only way for people to realize something is up and that they need to take some action and not ignore it as "not their problem"

I mean com on guys...for the average Corsair, the most dangerous places to be are infact Gamma and Theta, this makes no sense at all inRP as our fleet and defense should be thick around there not a mercenary playground.

And to the people who feel bossed around and chased away from their lovely staging points: it is not like there is a hessian base in O5 or a junker one in S13 ...fly 2 min more to get your hourly fight and propably everyone will be happy.

War is trolling. That's the point, in real life and a video game. Kill the other guys, don't die, reduce morale and supplies. Only in Disco, the only outcome of "winning" a war (i.e killing more than dying, by a fair bit) is to reduce morale of the opposing side.

However, assuming you aren't personally blaming me or my attitude for that, but instead soemhow trying to relate the untimely deaths of two beloved community members to an out of context statement, I can perhaps guide you closer to point.
Spazzy is gone beacuse he decided to expose veterans using a cheat by cheating himself.
Arms and Legs is gone beacuse of a simple breuhaha over encryption.
Snak3 is gone beacuse he couldn't handle the trolling he was getting from the community.

You may not believe it beacuse those members you looked up to initally are gone, but Disco is as strong as ever.
We have an increased player count and no difficulty filling it up.
We have a steady stream of people registering for the forums every day.
And even though old vets we respected when we first got here are gone, other have taken their place.

Me. Russel. Andrew the cool, Kaiwren, SMGSterlin, Jeremy, Avalanche, Arvg, Lobster, Charos, Hone, Dane, Crackpunch, Sad, Vito, just to name some off of the top of my head.

Yeah. Doesn't change the fact that some people will still take that "fun playing" as trolling. One size can't fit all. Never did, never will. Alltough about "win" thing I would disagree. It's not a game if there is no winners and no losers.

- Corsair nation fights for security of their home. By damanding that zoners wouldn't allow people seen as hostile by the empire to park their warships at empires doorstep. ( because inRP it causes more danger and trouble than lack of few shipments of food )
- Zoners on the other hand don't want to feel like puppets. After all, they left colonies behind for the sake of feeling free and doing what they want. Not being commanded, guess what, they are not the only one living in the edgeworlds.

Diplomatic affairs were tried.. nothing. Open agressions is all that is left both for player gamewise and for nation rolewise. Anyway, by game mechanics player characters don't die. Stations don't blow up. Everything which can be done is to shoot stuff and hope that someone will get fed up with situation. However, roleplay wise for corsairs it would be irrational to cease agression.

Oxigen, Water. Crete offers both for surrounding stations.

This is also a valuable result of Corsair blockade, no oxygen and water for FPs. So it's 2 sided, not one as people tend to think.

I would say that water and oxygen are pretty easy to get/recycle by now.
