Point is, if they managed to make their way somewhere, that means they were not detected, if you approach planet broadcasting unlawful IFF you are clearly detected, and don't expect that you will manage to "blend" or whatever, not with a giant train, especcially that there can't be that many of them that you manage to hide it somehow,
I really dont understand why people are against docking on bases/planets. If they dock then also it will be very short time as the software replinsh with time and they will requier almost the same amount for undocking. Anyway, no devs responded so far, so i think it is not possible to implement or they dont like the idea.

For trade lanes and jump gates, I think this would be a nice thing to add.
For stations, this would never make sense. It's far too easy for the owners of a station to monitor the docking bays and detect/destroy any hostile ship that tries to land. The hostile ship's pilots could try to open the docking bays, but I doubt the pilots would be able to hack the station's auto-defense and surveillance systems to ignore the ship. Even if the ship did manage to land, the pilots would be met with an angry mob of station defenders.
For planets, I'm unsure about it in regards to fighters, freighters, and bombers, but against it for capital ships and transports. I think that while the docking ring could be hacked to let in a hostile ship, the pilots still wouldn't be able to make the auto-defense and surveillance systems, let alone be completely ignored by the authorities. However, there is the possibility that the hostile ship could escape while in the atmosphere. As for larger ships that use mooring fixtures, they're going to be seen, no doubt about it. Even if the pilots manage to escape to the planet, the ship will still be in space and will likely be destroyed or disabled by the authorities.

More or less everyone agreed with the trade lane and jump gates. However i unstand why are you aginst the station and planet docking.
If the idea can be planted fortrade lanes and jump gates that can be good addition. Still i dont see and admin/dev/moderator input about its feasiblity.
