Hm, I don't think screaming "admin, admin, admin!" without saying anything else does really fulfill the 3.4 rule breakage criteria.

I don't think it's sanction worthy, just full of dumb. Pure, utter, dumb.

It's people like that that completely destroy my immersion.

-1 for calling oorp crap "in-rp" since it doesn't necessarily break a rule or because it's "within game mechanics", whatever the hell that has to do with anything.

Ugh...the more I read, the more I'm just disgusted by some peoples idea of roleplay. I mean, why even play on this server? These people should leave and find a server which is more to their liking.

How exactly is having an escape pod that always works OORP?

Everyone does it. Even you. Even if you don't say anything about it, you do it every time you click "respawn." If you claim that's OORP, then you're a hypocrit, unless you always delete your characters on death.

What if I told you I did?

A way a lone a last a loved a long the riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend of bay,
brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs.

@dodike

Actually, it IS sanctionable under 3.3. I had a feeling, but had to double check. Its straight up OOC, and no one will ever convince me otherwise.

Now on to Hielor....

Ok, call me a hypocrite....I'm a hypocrite because I HAVE NEVER SAID "Just Kill me".

I do everything in my power to keep my character alive. Period.

Again, I've dropped a titanics load worth of ore, because A PERSON WOULD VALUE THEIR LIFE MORE THAN MONEY.

If you feel someone has been unfair, then file the friggin report. Don't tell me that saying "just blow me up" is IN-RP, especially when your flying a ship that is worth 100 million credits or more.

Now, this is my opinion. It's obviously not yours. Whatever, I think it's just oorp to say something like that and not rp the fact that your a captain with a crew to think about, goods to think about, your ship to think about.

To each their own I guess, but I hope we never meet in space, cuz it's peeps like you that completely kill the immersion.

EDIT: I've just been informed your a girl. Change the dude to dudette, and the hims to hers, but the points remain the same.

EDIT2: I've just been informed you may be a guy. Re-change the dudette to dude, and the hers to hims, but the points remain the same.

EDIT3: Sometimes I get too worked up about stuff. Heh, luckily, after some lulz with my freelancer buds....I see that it really doesn't matter. Do what you want. Enjoy the game.

I'd call you a liar, but if it's true, more power to you.

If you have ever clicked "Respawn," then you acknowledge that the idea represented by it is within RP.

You can treat this as an escape pod, or maybe EVE-style clones. It doesn't matter.

Assuming that you've also not sold your ship immediately after clicking Respawn every time, then you also acknowledge that it's perfectly within RP to receive a free replacement (insurance, natch) when the previous one gets blown up.

Given that the captain knows that he isn't going to die, and he's not going to lose his ship--why is it oorp to tell someone who just demanded more than the cargo's worth to just blow up the ship? It's not worth anything, and you lose less that way than you would by paying the pirate. What matters then is the time that gets lost. Or maybe it's a phsyically/psychologically traumatic experience to get your ship blown up around you even if you don't die from it. Certainly, if someone chooses to RP that their character is so afraid of the escape pod they'd rather lose 50mil than go into it, there's nothing wrong with that.

People who try and impose "oh, but the ship is worth xyz" and "oh, how much is your life worth" on others without deleting their character after death are just trying to find excuses to get more money from people.

...what.

I assure you I'm definitely a guy. Where did this conversation take place?

Where do all lulzy conversations take place? Skype of course. And, as a guy, you know we like to screw with each other for the sake of screwing with each other. I have a feeling that's what they were doing. I left the edits because they were classic. Had to be done.

Look, I have nothing against you, and will now leave this thread for good.

I suppose I never looked at it from a different viewpoint.

Let's just agree to disagree. Personally, I blame Zelot. :P
