Actually, from my own experience, Corsairs are always were bragging about being more cool then anyone around.

When you do that, some people will always appear.

Who will go like:

I yust cant get it Corsairs complaining about 24/7 raids on Gamma.
Because they are so modest maybe and never draw any atention to them, hahaha.
Corsairs yust cant stop screaming Sirius wide how powerfull and strong they are
and constantly showing everyone who wants to look their big and shiny muscles.

I mean, even Hackers find it worthwhile to fly all the way to Gamma to find out...
And Freeports in the neighberhood closing for Corsair hostile factions wont make a difference.
I wouldn't even be suprised at all when GRN would stage from Nimes base to raid Gamma!

Isn't what you stated part of "game balance"?(you take 3 mil of me for any reason you make up on my 2.5 mil profit trade) Didn't you already know this when you rolled a corsair? Didnt you roll a Corsair because of the "shoot people" part in the ID?

If you're claiming that action in game matters, what consequences are you supposed to apply to your RP for a few days now? Sure, trolling and mobbing is easier for people who don't have a clue.

Basically it's differentiation you .... ah well, nvm. If you'd be able to apply it you'd have very probably done already. I suggest to ask Zelot, your mentor, to support you, because he's very certainly the master of grey scales.

OK...I've been sitting out of this thread as I'm sick of the Zoner Zoner Zoner crap myself.......and I'm a Zoner!
The problem is that someone wants an RP method to get an OORP solution. Basically, it takes all of the Zoner factions, now only TAZ and OSI, to mutually agree on an FR5 on mentioned groups using Freeports to lead raids into Omicron Gamma. The mentioned groups to me were: The RHA, Mandolors and BHG. Do I want to do this? No but I do see the point.

In RP, Freeports are NOT a staging area but people use them for this purpose. So the Corsairs decide the best way for this RP method for an OORP solution is to pressure TAZ and OSI by blocking trade or destroying ships altogether to achieve these means. Stupid? In a way since TAZ has no real influence in those areas and OSI is kind of everywhere. Still, I see the point the Corsairs are trying to make.

Ya know, if people raided from their own bases (Freital isn't that far away in Omega 7 and Hunters could easily launch from 56, we wouldn't be having Zoner pew pew!

You will also notice that I'm letting someone else do the diplomacy RP for TAZ partially because as an Admin, I'll sit out of this so as to avoid claims of Zoner bias.

Everything you do on Discovey IS NOT IMPORTANT because you are just a 1 (one) ship from millions and millions of other ships (NPC), life is going on on it's own and if 10 Hessian BS appear at gamma and have a fight with 10 corsair BS it's not a big event at all and can't harm the sides by any possible way. Osirises in Eta and BHG dessies in gamma and many other capships are exploding all over around day to day and it's all jazz.

So when we are talking about few fighters raiding gamma and few ships from both side poofing it's totally completely nothing.

Im not going to link em all, Theres tonnes and tonnes of this stuff, All the responsibilitys of factions, I know someone will come say rule lawyering because I try reading the rules. Hell an admin involved will come tell me "You think we break rules sanctionlancer" I have little faith in sancutions on admins, I dont know why, I just have zero faith there.

This is incredibly funny. Really it is. Nothing quite changes. Maybe the names of the involved people change, and the motivation for picking one side over the other also changes. Maybe some of the involved people are much the same people as last time, just with a different agenda this time artound, which may or may not have something to do with spiting Zelot.

Truth is all the sides of this little dispute are petty and pathetic. Both sideshave got into this strange male-apendage waving competition, to determine who is the more manly, while also crying about the other side like a bunch of little girls.


Zoners - You're refusing to acknowlege something that's actually a problem. Go make a Corsair and have fun chasing every last guy who attacks Crete to whichever of the nearest freeports they feel like. I mean, Gamma really is completely surrounded by open-use bases. More so than anywhere else in sirius. It's a bit frustrating. I wonder how you'd feel if Corfu was turned into a hunter base, FP9 an OC base, and FP5 a hessian base. I bet the zoners would be crying then, but honestly that's the way it often feels for the Corsairs.

Furthermore, you've allowed yourselves to get stirred up into militant action by a group of people who's agenda is basically making a mess for Zelot. It's personal. Nice huh? Infact this specific group of people just loves the drama. the more the better. If people are crying, they're drinking the sweet tear-nectar. Many of these people were flying for the corsair side of the conflict in it's previous incarnation. The reason for the side-switch is just an arbitrary case of who they favour in OORP terms this time around.


Corsairs - You're incredibly stupid. You're trying to strong-arm a solution to a problem that can't ever be solved. Why can't it be solved? Because doing it would screw the Zoners. The mod puts them in a totally untenable position. They can't FR5 any and all outcasts/hunters/hessians who stage from FP9/5/Corfu, because the paperwork would be obscene and you can't catch them all. The Zoners can't go full hostile to those groups to prevent them docking either, because that would cause problems in places which have nothing to do with the corsairs. For example, FP2, FP10, FP6... The list goes on. YOU CANNOT ASK THEM TO GO HOSTILE TO THE PEOPLE WHO ATTACK YOU, BECAUSE IT IS IMPOSSIBLE.

I sympathise with your position, I really do, Liberty's full of 'neutral' stations as well, and it's mindbendingly annoying to just chase every last pirate you find to Rochester, Beaumont, FP2, etc. However, telling the junkers to go hostile to the OC would completely screw their roleplay.


Hessians - Bunch of opportunist, poop-stirring, annoyances. You can see the storm coming a mile off, sure. but hey, causing trouble for other players is cool right? Right? yeah. lets raid every day! god I love that attitude.

OC - The only group who's indies can match the stupidity of Corsair indies.

GMG - Just because you finally have something to do, doesn't mean you should be joint raiding gamma with the Outcasts.

[51st] - There is no good reason for MND ships to raid Gamma. The end.


None of you are taking a position which is sane. Every involved group is being mindblowingly stupid. I laugh at all of you. Frankly, yeah, I'm gonna fly in this pathetic war. A war which was spawned by dong-waving, made worse by personal issues. But the only reason I'm gonna fly is because I like shooting stuff. I'll fly for whichever side needs the numbers at the time.

The only thing I'm gonna say is that all the people in leadership positions in this, climb down from their respective high horses and realise that they're making themselves look extremely stupid.

Me saying that Gamma and Alpha must be unridable so the fights could occur in other systems- like the Lore suggests Hessians and Corsair fights in Omegas, Corsair and Outcast and GMG fights in Sigmas, Corsair and Core occasional fights in Omicrons ,together with removing the useless eta and lambada
