I like to be ganked. Heavily ganked. Especially if I win! :D

And, what's this for Zoners and Sairs? Is the question "do they gank"? Sairs do. But they loose, one way, or another.

I think gank is ok, especially in some situations (for example defending homeworld against lolraiders)

But taking a duel when there is a gank can be disputable. I guess its ok to accept duel when you are alone but if not, you shouldt because it can be backstabbing of your allies (e.g. 3v6 fighters, its hard but can be done, and than 2 takes a duel, one stays alone against 4, thats something what can ruin your day:), i know what i´m talking about).
Also it happens a lot that one is ganked by 3-4 and got a duel offer, but when he starts to win, others attack (with excuse like: we have no time for this, ...). Well, I prefer to get ganked right away than to get this false hope.

Nothing in this game is more annoying and stupid than people who complain in OORP that you didn't give them or others a "fair" fight in a RP encounter (which often started as 1 or 2 fighters flying up to an armada of enemies and taunting them). Especially when the people who complain don't give other people fair fights either, and use the encounter as a pretext to dis and gang up on people with help from their skype friends on the forum. Which is like 99% of the people who complain.

I'm actually amused by the comments here. Especially since anytime I go into a combat, I pretty much expect to lose, simply because I suck at PvP.

Having said that, as was mentioned on here, gank is an OORP concept that has nothing to do with real life and everything to do with how people perceive fairness. Here's a hint - if you ever find yourself in a real life situation, out here in the real world - gank the HELL out of whoever it is that you're going against. Real life doesn't have a respawn button... :)

Anyway - so does that mean in game I get ganked all the time, even when it's one on one, since I'm expecting to die? Nope - just means that it's time for some fun - practicing evasive manuevers. And when I do actually get ganked - which happens in what seems to be way too often, but that's mostly because for some reason people don't seem to like one of my characters (so having 20 ships chasing me at all once is not uncommon... ***Amusement***) it's still not that big of a deal.

Just don't whine back when the Dildo Squadron of Death comes after you ... (I saw a skype conversation where someone was complaining about getting ganked by 10 Nomad battleships ... and they were NPC's...)

Oh, and ZONERZONERZONERDIEZONERZONERZONER

Personally, ill use overwhelming force if it makes sense to do so. OC dread in manhatten comes to mind.

But i use the term overwhelming loosely in this case, because i mean by that "enough to ensure victory by conventional standards". Most of the time swarms of ships get in eachothers way actually LOWERING battle effectiveness.

At the same time if i am pm'd and asked for a matched battle, i am happy to oblige becuase it is a nice thing. But a spontanious defence against an enemy in a highly secured place? Kick the beehive you BETTER be prepared for the result.

Ganking often has nothing to do with the "hate". And "gankers", quite often, perceive this game in a way that leaves very little place for negative emotions towards anyone or anything (with exception of a sudden red lag or own failures, like lack of organization)

Meh, this is a never ending discussion. On side hand you got the 'elites' who don't care if they're ganked because they win anyway, then you have the 'try-too-hard' who get frustrated by it, and then the 'casual' who simply doesn't care

And then you got the "elites" that kill noob after noob after noob in "fair" 1on1s, and when its not a noob they kill him with 3 times as many ships, but as soon as one of the "elites" loses and the enemy had 1 more ship than they had, it was a really lame gank and absolutely disgusting behavior.

I understood why people always asking don't gank, when I decided to fly fighters much. Sometimes, small gank would be acceptable, for say, 7 vs 5, and something like this. Those 5 players still has chances to win using great team work, or skills. Still, larger force doesn't means victory. Its not like 3 cruisers with missiles and fighter chasing lone bomber. In this way, even if bomber pilot skilled (but its not about me :( yet....) and can deal with fighter, caps wont allowe to do this, and will pursuit this bomber till they see docking msg. That how should not be done, plus, it's RP. Large ships wasting fuel (which also costs more than few coins) to hunt down single snub. Captain would be demoted to regular crew member, or even got a punishment after HC would see few bills for resupply.

Oh, just remember to note: ZONERZONERZONERZONERZONER

This is too much RP.

A bomber can cause a lot of problems for a cruiser, if not now then an hour or two from now. Kill it or make it dock is the right thing. You can fly away faster so just leave.
