Bombers are big and slow targets with guns designed not to hit fighters effectively.
Without relying on a SNAC gun you are in for a long and interesting fight.
I am a lone pilot most of the time.
A lone pilot of my skill level won't handle anything.
But if it happens that I will participate in a group fight I will assist fellow bombers with it as well.
I used 2 of each when I was flying bombers. The EMP guns are very strong and 2 was enough to completely deshield any of small target. The energy guns do some surprising damage too.
Depends on what you will be wanting to stay and fight, and if you are smart enough to leave the area for anything else.
That is interesting, I haven't heard too much good about the Cutlass.
I'm also looking to try out some bombers for general use against all targets. (FL ID for me). I hate the Roc, but have thoroughly enjoyed the little time I've spent in a Basilisk.
Is a Waran with a Nova and Snac an outlandish idea (CDs are not a necessity)?
Also, asked here before but not answered, how is the Havoc? (Compared to Waran, Broadsword, Cutlass I guess).
Agile and can match with snubs. (If you find a newbee in a fighter...)
2. Havoc
Bigger hitbox, less agility than the Roc. Better than Waran, but worst than Roc
3. Waran
So big hitbox, agile like a truck. Has more power so usefull (just) against caps, traders, etc. but will die in a sec againts any fighter.
4. Cutlass
Was my favourite bomber when it was Falcata. Never tried it since the 4.86 released, but as I heard it has a huge hitbox and less agile than the Falcata, BUT never tried...just planning to do.
