What kind of roleplay did you look for when joining your first faction and how did you choose your first faction?

I took a long time to decide back when I joined... Almost went with the =CR=...

But I chose DSE), and had Eyvind take me around and show me the ropes. Shame he's gone. :<

Once he left, DSE) just fell apart.

Edit: I didn't look for anything actually, had no plans when I started playing in Gallia.
