I've been working on some new designs for House-specific trade lane designs, which would give some more diversity to the different houses. I've only recently been able to start progress on them, but now that finals are done for me, I should be able to spit out a few models. I've already done some sketches for the designs.
The following design is for Liberty, and includes a more or less generic hub to go in the middle (if only so that the NPCs actually have something to shoot at). The model weighs in at 5,520 tris.
I don't think these should be for Liberty, since all the non-Gallia/Nomad lanes are Liberty by design. Functional and able to be mass produced. All the 'edgier' and cosmetic stuff would cut into Ageira/Liberty profits. Though for Kusari, yes go for it.
If there's gonna be new TLs, then can we PLEASE put them on their side like they are in Gallia, makes so much more sense, especially when the lights go off on disrupted lane sections.
Nice piece of artwork! Imho they look a bit too... sophisticated... for Liberty (no offense meant of course!), but they definitely look nice!

That would be a good idea, but a lot of bases would have to be moved I guess. Not gonna happen soon.
Personally, I feel the lanes and gates are standardised for a reason.
The simple fact that they're built by the same people all across Sirius.
If each house were to get the ability to build their own, then this sort of thing would be awesome, but as lore stands currently, it's a little strange.
After all, the houses don't actually touch the gates or lanes (short of ramming them for whatever reason), all maintenance is done by DSE and Ageira. Having different makes of the same technology just makes repair more difficult.
I do, however, like the little thing in the centre. The idea of it, at least, if not the current one you've provided. Something more squarish would be perfect.
