He was a zoner id with the zoner cruiser because he wanted to see what the ship was like.
NONE OF US, have gone around shooting anyone, we follow the rules of our tag. We have used our gunships to escort our ALG traders, Rheinland gunships with a Rheinland Military ID and we have shot at NPC's that have attacked us first.

We have not attacked a single person in this game up to this point, we have however shot back at pirates after they struck first, chased them and rp'd with them.
As for him taking the ship into omega 3, he was not actively hunting anyone, but was fighting npc's which owned his ass btw. He found out the cap ship isnt that great against fighters etc...

But our group will need those ships for the future, because we might want to fight.
We were intending on having the zoner id because it SAYS we can go anywhere (just can't land with 3600 or more cargo) Our plan was to be a group that is protecting the traders of the zoner space with an ALG Corp cooperation.

Perhaps you were flying the capital ship in house space (zoners have to stay in independent systems) or perhaps you had the wrong ID. Take a look and I'm sure you'll find the answer to your question.

Every ship can be had, but one has to go about it the right way.

Show me where it specifically says that a Zoner capital ship cannot fly in House Space.

By the server rules - it can. By house laws - nope, unless you contacted house authorities and obtained allowance for passage. Otherwise bombers will pew your cap. But enough posting in wrong subforum, contact me on PM.

Ah.... If you're using multiple faction IDs with the same group tag, this is a no no.


As for flying a Zoner cap in house space, you can, but you will get shot down by the laws created inRP for that House.

I think the issue is using multiple IDs for the same tagged group.

House "Laws"

Each house has its specific inRP laws which the military and police enforce. You won't get sanctioned for it, but you will be shot at.

While that is allowed by the rules, it will get you in trouble. There have been plenty of people before you who have escorted people of different factions throughout house space and whatnot. It is rather frowned upon to escort players that arnt of your own ID (unless you are a freelancer looking for escort work.) Doing so is seen by some as metagaming, and others by poor taste.

The idea has been done before. I will give you an example as to why this is frowned upon so that you might understand.

Back int he day, Rheinland used to be OORP bountyhunter land. Every trader would be silently drifting around the house, and all of them owned BHG cruisers. Whenever a pirate would log, all the traders would log on their indie BHG caps and chase all the pirates away. It killed house activity. There were no pirates for the military to play with, there was no safe way for the traders to pirate. Seance they were BHGs, they would go to other houses as well and the same problem would happen. This eventually ended in the banning of all BHG caps from house space by server rules.

To use zoner caps may have a similar result.

Now, if you want to escort, ALG, i would encourage you to use military IDed players like you are currently doing. yes, it is limiting, but that is the point. If you want to go everywhere, use freelancer IDs. You will be limited to gunboats, but it is the price we have to pay for the balance of the game.

With all the above said, there is nothing i like more then new players!

So I cannot have more than one character? Such as one character is an ALG Transport and the other is a Rheinland Military gunboat?


Or one character cannot be Rheinland and another character under the same player a zoner character?


I didn't see that in the rules or I was confused

No no no. You can have multiple characters. The problem arises when you have multiple IDs for THE SAME FACTION TAG.

Let's say my faction tag is Zynth), I can't have a RM ID on Zynth)Lulzy and a Zoner ID on Zynth)Lulzo.

That is against the rules.

I have a military ID with a Rheinland gunboat.

You're saying I can have a Freelancer ID with ANY gunboat and that is ok?

I noticed some players dont' appreciate another Houses ships in their space, Freelancer ID or not.




Now if I decide to join some group, lets say a mining or trader group.


Am i understanding I cannot have another character with a military ship of a diff house? Like using ALG with zoner or IC tag for a trader and a Rheinland Fighter?


So all of our characters need to be registerd in the same house?

There are pirates from my understanding that have trade ships with other ID's?

1. Stork - ALG ID
2. Rheinland Gunboat - Rheinland Military ID
3. Hegemon Baumann ID
4. Hegemon BMM ID
5. Starlifter - Zoner ID
