i've always wanted this, i looked into it a while back and found some cool add ons but none that would let you do it client side. they were all for server side stuff.

i would LOVE to change trent's look.

couple of questions:

-would it cause the server to see you as cheating if you've modified files?

-can someone post how to do it?

-i've also seen custom made avatars, where would those need to be loaded?

I want Ruach, completely modded an animated, put instead of Trent. XD
of course, this is impossible. No one in freelancer goes around with that large gas mask and such long hairs.

Xing as well is impossible, no one wears communsit uniform =P

I was thinking not just looks but like when you change the look of the character it has different player stats, like it changes who you are friendly with.

but of course you wouldn't won't a corsair as a character that could be choosen

When you activate the mod you can select a different look for Trent's uniform to match an NPC faction, although not all of them are included.

Of course, it will have the same look for all of your characters, but at least you aren't stuck with the LPI look from SP.

Of course, it will have the same look for all of your characters, but at least you aren't stuck with the LPI look from SP.

i've tried that, i always put my outfit as an Order one (cause i likes it!!) but it's always reset to what the server has loaded.

mine works fine. I keep forgetting to switch it from Corsair though... Makes for a very funny looking KNF... I saw a mod on lancers reactor before it got wiped that allowed you to choose your career. Looked interesting but I didn't download it. Maybe that had switchable avatars on it?
