Kushan VHF hitbox

I edited my former post, but will repeat. In the Discovery directory is no Kushan VHF stored. They are stored as Light Fighter, Heavy Fighter, Bomber and Freighter.

I guess the Kushan VHF is the stored bomber and using the Dragon hitbox. I see it all the time, when fighting Dragon NPC's. They take nearly no damage, when hit from right behind.

I have no problem with the ship size and I didnt mean my post as complaining. The ship is almost completley unused, so its nice to see someone flying it... And I think the Blood Dragon HF is harder to hit...

Well sorry.. maybe that was a bit too much to accuse you that you use it just because of the hitbox... I'm deleting that.

The Marauder has good agility and very good power supply (Sabre one).
About agility..the least agile VHF (Templar) has 1.09 the most agile one is the Kushan VHF with 1.316. Next most agile is the BD that has 1.26. So that's 0.17 in difference.. you say that Viper and Marauder (1.325) have only 0.15 in difference... well it's as big as it's gonna get.

Tested the Kushan hitbox now.... pictures comming

I say again problem is not the size of the hitbox problem is how well it fits the ship.

How should you know where to aim? If the model is hittable on virtually random places?

EDIT: @AoM Dragon NPC don't take damage because you mostly hit the "fins" that have just been hardened, so that they are not easily shot off. And damage on them doesn't damage the hull of the ship.

I spend some time killing Dragon NPCs in Sabre with 4 Codes.. they could take 4-5 direct hits from the back.. without loosing any hull.

AoM, you are wrong.
Look in FLstat, it is stored as a Kushan VHF.
And there is no Kushan bomber, so you might thought it was a bomber.

Kushan Freighter
Kushan Scout
Kushan HF
Kushan VHF

Those are Kushan ships.
While it is small, and hard to hit, it is still much easier to hit then the Blood Dragon HF (I fight both of them almost every day, i can tell).
I don't know if it's bugged, but i know it is a great ship.
2 turrets (great for tizona turrets, as they are better then guns), and 3 guns.
It's agility is much better then on Viper, but slightly worse then BD.
So, my point is, it can actually compare with BD, while it isn't a vanilla ship.
And that's a bit too much.

But, i don't have complains on Cylons.
There is 1, or maybe 2 of them active.
They mostly fight us 1vs2/3/4, so i don't see a problem if they are flying a bit better ship.
Overall, i really believe that both BD and Kushan deserve nerfing.
But, that's just a thought.

I don't really see where the BSG/CR have a right to complain about it.. They have the Viper MkI with more agility, more energy, invulnerable to missiles, and larger armor, than the EAGLE. Then they have the Viper MkII which is just as agile as the Eagle, also invulnerable to missile, more armor, more energy, oh and guess what.

1/2 of the ship don't seem to have a hitbox.

And about the BD HF, it is very vulnerable to missiles, has a decent sized hitbox, very small energy, and has low armor.. The agility makes up for it, just like every other BD and Kusari ship has better agility than everyone else, save the Eagle. Its quite balanced. We turn better, boo hoo. Your Titans have huge amounts of armor. Do we complain when it takes half an hour to shoot you down because you have enormous amounts of bots to regen your enormous hull?
You people complain WAY TO FREAKING MUCH. It seems a fad on Discovery now-a-days to call for a nerf every time you come up against something you can't beat.
While we're on the subject, lets degrade battleships to only 100,000 armor, make gunboats the slowest ship in the game, take away the cruiser's shields and take off the torp slots on the bombers. FFS people, learn to overcome your enemies advantages. Every ship out there right now has advantages and disadvantages. The only ship I know of that needs a nerf, is a slight agility change to the Blood Dragon Catamaran Bomber, and either a very slight change to the Praetorian bomber, or a small decrease to its armor. Its just as agile as the Titan.. The Praetorian, the bomber, should be less agile than the VHF its based off of.

@ chopper: Then please search with FL stat a hw_k_vhf.sur file.
When you have found it, show it, but i guess you will fail. Fl stat shows the entries in the inis, but not the files connected with.

Now your turn.

I really hope Cylons aren't mounting Tizona Turrets on there ships as there hostile to Corsairs.

Here it comes:

Big pictures inside... I have a lot more of them if you really want them.

Notice the pictures where you shoot right trough the middle Apart from the front and back edges that are not there.

Now what poor Crash Test Dummie did when he saw it:

Now next time I go into fight with this one I will place a Dragon picture over the screen.. and move it with one hand so that I know where to aim.

If you want to have your own go I'm keeping the Kushan in Connecticut for a while.

Hostile to Corsairs? Where you hear that? We lean towards Outcasts, aye, but we are not hostile. Haven't attacked TBH nor RA, we only defend Alpha if called upon to maintain bases in Outcats territory.

Plus, we don't use tizzies.

Well... Being allied to Outcasts + Attacking CR/BSG => IMG > friendly to corsairs... I dont think Corsairs are very happy with your existance.
