last night i was smugling counterfeit software from NY to dublin and it was going very well to i got to Magellan were some lane hacker begain to tax me!!!! wtf lane hacker tax people for smulging counter software, they were saying it is because i was not smuglig for the right people, The lane hacker are allies with the mollys, how can u be allies with someone and still say they are not the right people and we dont like the mollys, pay tax or die... is that not very bad RP????????

so - you are molly and mollys are allied to LHs? ( sorry, i don t know all the alliances out there ). if that is the case - its a bit strange indeed. outcasts don t tax lane hackers either. if you are a trader or a generic smuggler though - they can tax you.

it all depends on your ID.

edit: never mind - figured it out - you were a smuggler smuggling to the mollys. .... anyway - if you are only a smuggler, they can sort of tax you - maybe not much, but they cannot be sure you deliver the stuff to arrenmoore base. all they have is your word. you are right that they should treat you ... well, friendlier than a generic trader running liberty goods - but they are still in RP to tax you ... a little.

Now, before you start to put anyone else's roleplay down sir, lets be clear on a few little points ...
Now I'm guessing your 'smuggler' is not infact tagged and IDed as a Molly ? Or tied to the incumbent
Molly faction on the server. If so, your docking rights to certain sources of said software would be out
of the question, wouldn't it ? Does your trader have anything to do with the Molllies at all ?
The Lane Hackers do have the right to stop and 'tax' in their home systems, and really anyone they
feel can top up the coffers. That is what tax is defined as.
Now, piracy is something else ...

PIRACY POLICY

Commercial operators who are willing to make restitution for their previously devious and socially destructive methods of conducting business by materially contributing to the Lane Hacker cause may live. Atomize the vessels of those who refuse, and sell their escape pods to the Slavers Union for re-education.
All vessels belonging to Neutrals, Unfriendlies, and Hostiles are viable targets for piracy:
1) Neutrals should be offered an escort for a fee.Rude/offensive neutrals may be extorted.
2) Unfriendlies and hostiles may be freely pirated.
3) Vessels possessing a generic Trader ID and not squawking an IFF tag should be treated as an Unfriendly.
4) Vessels possessing a generic Trader ID and an Tag IFF that is Friendly or Allied to the Lane Hackers should be considered an infiltrator and aggressively interrogated until they wet themselves and offer a bribe.
5) Vessels possessing a Smuggler ID and not squawking an IFF tag should be treated as a Unfriendly.
6) Vessels possessing a Smuggler ID and squawking an IFF tag should be treated according to their IFF Tag (i.e. Outcast Tag=Ally, Corsair Tag=Hostile.) Allies and friendlies should be escorted and/or assisted without requesting a fee. (But you can accept a free offer of gratitude).
7) Vessels smuggling Cardamine shall NOT be taxed. However, they will be expected to contribute Cardamine for our use (as much as you can carry). If they refuse, open their hulls with your Hellflurrys and seize the Cardamine!

You did not had any tag.... and you had trader ID..... so that's category 3.

Saying how you are allied to Mollys can be nothing more than a cheap trick. And btw. when you are lvl 83!!! You have about 400 mil on your Adv. Train.. sure a few million does not hurt.

So Ichigo, I see from Herr Blofeld's take on the situation, that I was completely correct in my assumption ...
So it was infact, you that was just a tad out of roleplay there.
In future please look at the larger picture before leaping to your keyboard. Basically you ain't a Molly at all.
Just a grubby smuggling trader, without smuggling credentials at all.
Pay up and move on please ...
