Brief Biography: Son of a traders family, Aren was born on Manhattan and went to West Point Academy as soon as he was of age, against his father's wishes, who wanted him to take part in the family trading business. Upon completion of the standard training, he started working as a freelancer, mostly for the LPI but on occasion for the LSF as well. A few weeks later his father's transport was under attack by pirates but was eventually saved by a LPI patrol. Considering this event, he encouraged Aren to enlist in the Liberty Police. Deciding to make a career in law enforcement, and with his father finally on his side, Aren signed up for admittance in the Liberty Police and is awaiting his reply as we speak.

Felix has since served his prison time but the rest of his sentence is being carried out in forced labor at Montgomery Steelworks on Houston. He claims to have been rehabilitated, but many of his old attitudes are still evident even behind his honest-Joe work and family. Further investigation might reveal that Felix is the illegitimate son of a particularly notorious Corsair pirate Alonso Herrero Alvillar de la Barca. Felix's mother was raped by the pirate and eventually committed suicide over it after Felix's birth, and Felix was adopted by merchant Iván Barros Moreno who fled to Curacao and attempted to raise the boy right, but ultimately failed as Felix fell in with brigands and crooks in his teenage years.

Graduated 18th in her high school class of roughly 300, immediately went to work at the steel foundry to help support her family due to indirect pressure from her father. Her father constantly rambled about the sorry state of Liberty's economy and the oppression of the poor, but never really did anything to improve their lot. Her mother is a quiet, graceful woman, but as a soft-spoken housewife she is easily dominated by her husband. Her father wanted sons, as he is not shy about saying that women are the weaker sex, and although he does care for his daughters, he treats them like fragile, helpless creatures that are in need of a husband to look after them. Carina is anything but fragile and helpless, and in fact had a record of getting into fist fights rather frequently with boys at school when they would pick on people smaller than them (and she would frequently win). Carina hated her job at the foundry and longed to get away from home, but not so far that she would not be able to see her mother and sister. As soon as she had saved up enough money for a down payment on a spacecraft, she financed a simple vessel and began to explore Liberty space, doing odd jobs and trading goods. Eventually she was able to locate profitable trade routes and became financially self-sufficient, regularly sending a good portion of her earnings to her mother to assist the family. She aspires to prove her father wrong about everything by becoming exactly what he hates - a police officer, and intends to help support her mother financially if hired. She and her father had an intense falling out when she left home, and the two are still not on speaking terms.

Qualifications: Land Firefighter I, Land Firefighter II, Space Firefighter I, Space Firefighter II
Brief Biography: Tyler Bonesteel joined the Planet Manhattan Fire Department at the age of 18. He quickly became educated and certified in the many different aspects of firefighting, both land and space. Although Bonesteel had a love for the craft of firefighting, he always felt a calling to the skies. In recent years, the need for land firefighters to dispatch to space to fight fires had quickly dwindled. Recognizing this, Bonesteel sought out a local ship dealer on Planet Manhattan and purchased a ship - nothing special, but good enough to get him back into space. Bonesteel began exploring the Liberty little by little on his days off from the Fire Department. Bonesteel started doing simple trading and took on simple missions from the Liberty Police. He quickly realized that life as a Freelancer is not what he wanted to do. He was too used to the camaraderie that was felt throughout the fire service. The Planet Manhattan Fire Department began outsourcing the firefighting jobs to machines and the need for human firefighters was all but gone. During his time freelancing in Liberty, it quickly became apparent that there were real dangers and threats lurking throughout Liberty. Feeling an obligation to protect his homeland and all of Liberty, Bonesteel now seeks to join the elite Liberty Police Inc.
