I understand Mal, but that is not exactly what i meant.
I have very little experience in Trading, maybe i should try it sometimes.
Even I do that route, but little differently.
I mostly mine my Nioblium, so i have to sell it in Dresden.
I can't really mine Chips, or VIPs.
And Nioblium is right next to my home (couz i'm BSG, right).
I just gave my impressions, the way i see it.
Whenever i go trough Sigma-13, there are at least 3-4 Traders (at that moment) and as much Pirates.
I don't really know why, but that is the situation.
Maybe Nioblium-Diamond route is shorter, more profitable?
I can't tell.
Maybe people simply don't want to discover new interesting trade routes, but all they want is a quick cash.
That might be the trouble as well.
On the other side, when I enter Brettonia, i see 1, maybe 2 characters on my way.
And they are mostly new players exploring Brettonia after Liberty.
Remember Haris-Mcduff?
Well, Brettonia and Taus were overwhelmed then.
Something is wrong, obviously.
As for smuggling, there are also 2 main routes, and both lead to NY.
One is trough Taus, Baffin, Coronado all the way to NY.
The other is trough Kappa, Delta, Minor to NY.
Maybe you are right, maybe people are lazy, but maybe they are looking for the most profitable route out there, because all they care about are credits.
I know TAZ aren't like that, but you are very unique in that way.
Most people only want most cash, least time.
And that is the problem.
They will all always go to that one most profitable route, and it will be overwhelmed.
So, what i meant is, Trade routes should be pretty much the same, same credits for same time, in more Houses.
Maybe i am wrong, maybe Brettonia has the most profitable route, but that is not the impression i get.
Don't take my word for it;)

' Wrote:Kusari.. yes there are hordes of traders doing NB-NT.... yet there are no people in kusari. All the pirates simply pirate in S13... and inside Kusari KNF just watches the endless stream of traders go by.
Not true. I pirate all the Kusari systems, and spend the least amount of time in Sigma-13.
Also, there is a trade route between Omega-49 to Planet Kyushu (or NT if you want) with Deut, but I haven't seen anyone do it in a long time. My Lux liner did that route for quite awhile, goes right through Dublin. So yes, traders are lazy. BUT the NB-NT is still the best, and thats where our problem is.
If there is going to be any roleplay involving out of your areas of influence, make sure you are very squeaky clean in your behaviour, reasons, and your reputations ...
That goes for everyone here ...

This is rediculous, I think everyone had fun here today and without combat, this game is pointless. What is to come of the UOG without enemies, we will wither and die, we have taken so many steps lately to prevent that. I detest that someone would freak out because we actually go looking for a fight.
RP wise, why were we there? Because our allies asked us to be, why were we the main force? Because we had more players on. What iis the interest in LSF and liberty, they are our enemies allies. And therefore must be punished. LSF has been spotted in Dublin before, LSF has every right to come pick a fight with the UOG, why? Because we are supporting their enemies. Molly gold fuels the fire for other groups that LSF considers enemies.
I dont consider this oorp at all, according to our tag, all house corporations and militaries are our enemy, therefore, we were attacking our enemy.
Now, I do have a solution.
Planned RP strikes into Liberty Rheinland and Bretonia. We are however at war are we not. Then why not actually do something for a change. Who wants to log on and fly around a system for 2 hours robbing traders. Thats not good for anybody.
This is my opinion, of course, I am not high ranking in the UOG and will follow all orders handed down by them from ADMINS. But I appeal to them, please, find a compromise. I am considering starting a Brit faction just to have an enemy. PLEASE. QCO, do something, get out there and recruit. Give control of your faction to elected officials. Do something.
Ok, tired of the whining about having nothing to do over there in Dublin and Bretonia ... While your ally list
may say 'Rogues' on it, the lines below better sum up your roleplay.
Quote:The Mollys are a separatist group committed to freeing the Dublin system from Bretonian rule through attacks
on civilian, commercial, and military targets. In recent years they have been increasingly active in resisting
local Corsair expansion.
You have a good reason to be engaged in some ongoing roleplay with the Corsairs, not the Liberty Military.
Unless of course the Corsairs are also all in New York, then the whole flaming server can fight each other there.
Ever wonder why the server is glitching a little now and again ... Could possibly have something to do with up
to 40 odd people being there at once ...
Look guys there is plenty of roleplay opportunities out there, just some of you are getting a touch on the lazy
side to exploit them, when New York is glittering over there in the middle of Sirius.
Get a little real, and stop coming up with reasons to all be in NY, and find some good ones not to be.

@ CJD... Graviton has said that they never ask you to come to NY and there has never been a single LSF in bretonia (except in beta when we were buying Imp"debs on leeds) for months. Not even a stealth operation.
Now, I find it normal in a way to see sometimes random factions going where there is some action, it is normal, things tend to get lame sometime. BUT why bringing a bunch of capships in NY, If you want I could Bring the Goliath (our flagship) in Dublin and see what happen. Nobody would have complained if you would have come with a few fighters and 1 or 2 GB but You came with a BS and a Destroyer...
And The LSF has not agreed to see UOG attacking NY... I was In charge of the LSF during that ''event'' and I have never been hailed by any UOGs, Only one of the USS Guy said that UOGs were in liberty. And I think the situation was the same for the SA, But I wasn't in their group.
And as someone stated earlier, Yes you are in the ''Libertonian'' resistance, but this time you were 3-4 times more than the local liberty pirates...
I have nothing against events, If you want one contact me or Sniper first and lets organize something First
Now For those saying that there is no trade routes in Bretonia, well you are wrong. I know most of the Trade routes that Mal said and they are all profitable. Now that we are enforcing protection against smugglers in liberty, trader/smugglers will go trade elsewere.
The Idea of creating a trade route topic on the forum isn't a bad idea but if it happens keep information Vague (don't put any numbers, Don't state the profit or the lenght of the trade run)
EX: Good trade routes from Cambridge to Honshu and (forgot the planet...) to Cambridge, VIP and (forgot again....)
Actually, i would love to see some Corsairs active in Brettonia.
They have nothing else to do anyway.
They pretty much sit in Gamma.
You could send a squadron (TBH or Benitez) of your men (characters) out there in Brettonia (Gaian bases dockable), and make some good RP out there.
Or at least try to do that.

Actually i recent that remark, the Brotherhood doesn't just sit in Gamma everyday doing nothing. We are one of the main factions that try to run events with other factions to spark some RP, most of us have smugglers that are escorted into new York and if there is a few Outcasts on we attack them and if not there we are in Sig 13 emptying the pockets of rich traders.
Since the mod changed to this version and the Cambridge > Theta run got nerfed (which i might add brought allot of RP that trade run) there is little to do there.
We have however also contacted QCO about starting an event and are waiting to here back.
So no we don't just sit in Gamma watching the orange sun.
The most profitable route in the game goes into Bretonia. I won't say where (unless you PM me to ask), but it does exist. And my Zoner passes through Bretonia quite regularly on profitable trade routes...it's just that many people don't know about them.
Also, has nobody paid attention to RP threads? Check the QCO message dump. Or read "In the Queen's Service", linked to in my sig. We just finished a little RP event with the Benitez. Corsairs do come to Bretonia, though not terribly often. That's why my QCO was totally inactive for a week; he was a POW.
And I can tell you already that the race will have at least one participant: Constable Heather Barclay in her Arrow. And she'll be going to Dublin to practice sometimes...c'mon, Mollies. See if you can catch her. She's got no armor upgrades and LF class 6 shields right now, so she's not hard to destroy....if you can hit her.:P
