How the hell did you blow it up King?

Just open the computer...and post the letter/number combination thats near the middle, under the processor or under either the PCI-E slot or one of the PCI slots. (ie mine is KB8-525-9UA) or somthing like that. :P

either post that number, or Google it yourself, and look up the main board specs. It will give the you frequency support, how much RAM it actually supports, as you may only be able to hold 1GB. Make sure the physical slot is a DDR2 one not DDR or others.

Corsair is a fast brand, I wish I lived in the US. Like Virus said, WTF?

Cheers

I don't need the serial number, I need the model number.

And in this case, its good to be Corsair.

13, why can't you get Corsair in NZ?

Where in your computer do you go to get all that information? Being able to access it that easy would be great.

@ Quintinius, Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Information

@Dopamino, The answer is no. Your desktop does not support DDR2 RAM. What you need is DDR 400 RAM, also known as PC3200, NOT 5400.

The best deal I could find on Newegg for the type you're looking for is about US $98
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820211014

I also checked CompUSA, and the best they can do is $58 for 1GB.

Good hunting!

Ahh yes, the sweet smell of liquidation. Wish I lived in the states. I'm in the same boat as you 13, country-wise that is =P

Sourcing some Ballistix 2GB DDR2-800 4-4-4-12 for $140 NZD. Not quite as good as that Compusa deal, but its about as good as it gets down here
