help with crashing server after I edited it

This has bother for awhile if it isnt one thing its another I have started a server but when i try to edited it like put in a new system or change the music or edited a base or planet it says it update and saves but when i go to start the server everything loads right but when my friends log in the get on for a few seconds and then it boots them saying bad installation. I dont know what to do i have tryed everything i could think of please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! plus when i install a fresh discovery and freelance and start up the server my friends can get on without edited it!!!!!!!! what am i doing wrong never had this problem before. Thank you if you can help

It is probably designed to do that so people cannot cheat and/or steal the mod and modify it and call it their own. I would suggest modifying the files specifically on the vanilla (original) installation. It should however work as long as you or your friends didn't modify it.

this is because serverwise you changed stuff wich the client doesnt have. you cannot add stuff on serverside only and leaving it out of the client. (your friend in this case)
