Funny you should mention the Dragons. The thing is, as far as I can tell, Tau-63 is getting axed as well. I thought up a possible replacement for it too, but it's quite a bit less exciting.

Essentially it's just a big interstellar dust cloud, the entire system would be sheathed in a brown dust nebula (similar to the Leeds smog clouds in color), with a few belts of asteroids in the center. A useful place to hide or fly through (and possibly mine). Also those large brown dots are supposed to be big tohoku-style asteroids added to make it look cooler. No bases or NPCs of any kind.

The Colonials won't be an issue since Tau-44 is currently occupied by Gallia, and I don't see them getting it back in the near term. CR-IMG attempting to colonize the system for mining rights seems logical, however.

All that begins must end.

Might be an idea for 4.88, but for the present, Tau 63 will be a very basic system only connecting to Chugoku.

Nice thinking outside the old, stale box sir. I like the concepts.

Make it the ONLY indy pirate/smuggler base in sirius... that explains the mysterious minefield and weapons... that way, we can remove pirate docking rights and stuff from the places we want to without unneccesary Q_Q

Planet sells KuEx, Ptrans, Waran (the good pirate sheeps)
Mhyea, that smuggler dock doesn't have a mooring, so putting ships up for sale which require a moor is probably not the best of ideas. Hence my suggestion for an orbital base and infocards stating supplies are ferried to the surface using special shuttles or something.

We could do it that way but it feels like kind of a cheat. I personally don't see what difference it makes, and having a fully dockable planet would add a better sort of ambiance to the thing.

I pictured it using Harris' background, and it probably wouldn't sell any ships (or possibly ones like the X-Shuttle or Spatial or Eagle), and probably wouldn't have any trade routes due to being basically uninhabited. Only a few crazy adventurers hanging around the bar.

If we have to do an orbital base, I think something like Invergordon spaceport with a bunch of infrastructure scattered around orbit (depots, capship drydocks, scaffolding) as part of the base model, but not physically connected to the main base structure. Possibly with some infocard stating that some of the militias on the planet will shoot down any passers by.[/i]

All that begins must end.
