Am I missing something here? 54% of the people voted for a change, 61% of which voted for a statehood. If my calculator is correct, that's 32,94% of the people.

In which parallel universe is that 'slim majority' or any kind of majority at all? Democracy these days...

EDIT: Bleh, nevermind the slim majority thing, misread that... But the point still stands. Most of the people didn't vote for statehood.

As a Puerto Rican, Its probably a bad idea from my viewpoint, as we already get lots of pros of being a territory.

- We have no Taxes.
- We get protection from the Government in the form of two?(Maybe 1) US military bases
- We use the US Dollar


Also SMI, its PUERTO RICO, not Puetro Rico. Please get it right.

Power does not corrupt. Fear corrupts... perhaps the fear of a loss of power.
