My name is Nigel Harris. I was born on Java Station. My parents are from Bretonia. My father was a miner. My mother left up when I was young and went to Liberty. When my father retired he gave me his ship - a Surveyor. The ship was in bad condition. But with the help of a couple of friends we managed to repair it. At first I used the Surveyor for finding Niobium fields and supporting small mining ships. When I saved enough money I bought a Annapurna. I began working in bigger IMG mining operations. Comanies from Bretonia and Liberty started looking for my services. Over time my wealth grew. Even trough mining was turning out profitable, I didn't want to stay in Tau-23. I wanted to travel across Sirius. I devided to buy a cargo ship. And thats what I did - I bought a Stork.
Now I am trading Niobium to Liberty and Rheinland.

Greetings IMG. Well, where do I start, I am a proud descendant of one of the first mining families in Sirius, which sadly ended soon after the Civil war. Since then we have made our living working in anything else other than mining, as my family have a paranoid believe of falling down the mining ladder, again. But, I want our family to get back into the mining business again, after generations of farting around in other industries, I am taking the first step forward. I was born in Manchester, on Birmingham Station, which gave me an advantage in my mining knowledge, thanks to running around the station when I was a child and having conversations with the miners there. You would think that I would've joined BMM, but I believe in independent companies, free from the bureaucracy of large companies close the governments, which is why I am sending this message.

Biography: Mr'rgan Duras grew up in a poor town on Planet Cambridge. His father was a factory worker, and everyday he came home drunk and abused both Mr'rgan and his mother. From such hardship, Mr'rgan decided when he was 10 to grow crops and sell them on the street for cheap. Eventually making a grocery store out of it by the time he turned 21, Mr'rgan felt the burden of poverty lift off his shoulders as he looked towards the bright future.

Five years later Mr'rgan's business was flourishing with 5 stores across Cambridge Seeing the opportunities in space, Mr'rgan sold half his business and went amongst the stars to make money, profits, to explore, and to enjoy life.

Many weeks after he left the comfort of Bretonian space, Mr'rgan docked with a space station and met a miner at the bar. Introducing him to the man's stories of the adventures of a pilot of the Independent Miners Guild, Mr'rgan revelled at the opportunity to join such a venture and applied for it.

Outline the Independent Miners Guild goals: IMG is an association of professionals who have come together in order to build a livelihood for themselves and their families through honest, hard work. However, the guild prides itself in being able to mine with relative independence from the control and power of the houses. Because of this, its ability to hone in on mineral opportunities is vast, and allows the guild to expand. Because of this, the guild's goals serve the interests of all those affiliated with the guild.

What can you contribute while inside the Guild ? Due to the poverty which I have grown up in on Cambridge, my hardworking ethics, and my utmost ability to be able to complete tasks at the appropriate time. Teamwork is also my strong point, I built a business on working together with people, not through harsh or illegal tactics.

Which are your personal reasons for joining the Guild ? Also, which IMG Department would you like to be part of ? My personal reason is mainly in the endeavour that it holds and the opportunities that being part of the guild brings to me, and my family. I do believe that by joining the guild, I can explore other business opportunities, but work hard for a living in space which interests me alot. Every time I looked up at the night sky on Cambridge, I couldn't wait to explore the stars and to see the opportunities that may arise there. I now have the opportunity to do so. Greetings Guild officer, my name is Ben. I was born in Los Angles, California. My family migrated to bretonia when I was very young. After graduation from pilot school, I got hired by BMM and became a miner. Besides the payment, everything was ok at beginning. But soon I found out that BMM corporation took more care about profits than employees' lives, during an crisis between corsairs and BMM workers(I was one of them) in Cambridge. That accident shocked me. Then I decided to leave and be a freelancer. It's tough but finaly I got an old medium-size transport and took a month to repair it. I carrying stuff for my costumers to earn credits. Payment makes me satisfied but I feel lonely and want to have a stable work.

Guild focues on sharing fair profits with their labor. As guild hard to compete with house corp, they also do exploration at border worlds to find more opportunities.
