Heck, why don't we go back to 4.79? That really was the good old days. According to me at least.
No matter who you are or when you joined, the "good old days" is always between your join date and 6 months later. Also known as the "honeymoon period".
Although I have to admit, there were far fewer rules and sanctions in those days. But I suppose that is the tragedy of success: "rule creep".
The good old days for me were back when my faction had a government and wasn't led primarily by an offshoot group of traders. Imagine the LN led IRP by IC. >_>
It's not a question of honeymoon or anything, 'tis a question of how much paperwork and tabs-keeping is required nowadays compared to back when I started playing that annoys me. I don't enjoy player bases, I don't enjoy cloaks, or jump drives, or mining, or the new technology system much, nor do I enjoy a lot of the new features simply because of all the rule restrictions that exist nowadays. I can have just as much fun, and make actual profit, while playing EVE online doing basically the same thing.
