I'm not against rules that protect people Out of CHaracter, I'm against rules that prevents a full exploitation of the game In Character. I'm all for having a more free for all system within the limits of each's respective faction. An Outcast shouldn't have to warn a Corsair that yes, indeed, he is their enemy and that he challenges him in in Mortal Kombat for such a reason. It's a fact that's been around for centuries. Pirates should be able to pillage at their will, but authority forces should be able to reply just as harshly. Right now, a Trader's roleplay can entirely consist of hammering Shift + W and hoping the lag gods will protect him from cruise disruptors, and if all else fails, a cloaking device should do the trick. Gob forbids that the pirate act on this without at least typing /1. (Or lose your target if you try to manually type a request)

It's necessary to prevent regular idiocy. At the moment, the best you can do is diet idiocy (within the rules).
