i did say first "let Geisha go, he is under protection from me" which then you jumped and followed Geisha so i just came into the first all guns blazing.

the way i see it is that i did warn you first and you continued to ask for money and when you didnt you started firing so i returned the gesture


if i was on my trader character then i wouldent of bothered trying to fight as i am in no shape and would pay IF, and only if, i knew i would be caught if i dont think i will be i will run away to try and save my cargo and money

Not OORP, per se, if his cargo was worth less than your tax. He's dumb no mistaking that, fighter vs Transport = fighter win. But you started this thread off by stating that all traders should bow to your whim and stop when you yell at them. That is OORP. Ain't no stopping my Train if I'm travelling in cruise and you're in my way. It'd be like yelling at an aussie Road Train, not gonna happen.

Edit: Done here now, just re-read my three posts and they all say the same thing in three different ways. Don't think I've got anything more to add.

Wow.

First.......I am pretty new to Discoverary. Like under 2 months.

I seen all sort of conflictions in rules, and how they are really played on the server...so i am all sorts of confused.

I been shot at for running.

I been shot at and killed for not running.

I been shot at and killed ,even AFTER i paided.

I been warned and then shot at.

I been killed without warning.


I get told that Traders are NOT required to stop when ''HALT!!'' is yelled out.

I have also seem alot of ********** over the range a pirate can pirate.....Can they demained money when they are 14K away?


As a trader, I am to the point of just not trusting too many people and running like mad.......which just sucks all the fun out of Role Play.

Now, tonights action, seemed to started out fun.

There is a pirate, Viper in this case in the area.

I try to orginize a Trade run with a couple players.

I get two offers of excorts........so....off my group goes.....not soon after i get though a Jump Hole, Viper is all over me.....HALT !

I run, my excorts say: She is under my protection, you'll have to go threw me to get to her!!

Go for it, the Viper pirate replies.

Soon, a fight of ships start......My sheild are almost taken down......my engone wont come on line due to the CD....I start to run....then

RED COMPUTER Signals.................everyone crashes.

The fun stops, and after a few minutes....we get back on.
Viper appears to be mad or something.....I offer to still run some sort of payment to him , when he is servial systems away. We are in PM for a few minues.....ect...ect. Viper tells me to tell ian GOOD FIGHT.

Now...it seems all the fun has been sucked out of the action.

My final 2 cents on this is :

Pirates, say something more than HALT.
Traders, your making 7M a run........have some fun, run around a bit and finnaly give the poor staving space hag 250K for his efforts.


I am sorry that tonights fun....now seems to be 2 pages of *** on the forums.
