Hey everyone,
If i have 6-8 devices using 1 modem (including ipads, phones, computers) would it be better for me to use my own modem for gaming or would it not matter having this many devices using the one modem? (say if i was to stream on my own modem would it help make it smoother?)

Cheers

There was a complaint because your signature violated forum rule 1. Specifically:

So it's been removed.

WEll...if they all are using the Same modem in Same time..While you Play online games...Perhaps you get some Nasty Ping. Using another Modem wont change the matter.

The fact that All users use 1 IP address is the problem. (which means they use the Bandwidth you use for the gaming) So thats my opinion.

One big thing is how much bandwidth do you have available on your modem? And then downstream from that, what is your router capable of? If you have 4 people online streaming videos at the same time you're trying to game, you'll run into issues.

Discovery or Freelancer by itself doesn't use much of the bandwidth pipe. The biggest issue that you'll normally run into is sheer physical location - where are you in the world, versus where the server is located.
