The BDS not react because it was not contacted IRPly. How is the BDS supposed to react IRP from a few people that chose to complain OORPly in general discussion rather than an IRP comm thread?

Please note that while there were a couple of IRP posts done, the people were informed that they could fix their reputation or contact the BDS to be placed on the green list. They chose not to do so.

The ONLY government post to the BDS was this public press conference addressed to the whole of Sirius. While there was one other post it was neither approved by the government nor were the demands made in that post approved by the government so it was removed.

An ultimatum which demands not a simple IFF change but that the station be turned over to another faction, without offer of compensation. That is rather severe for a first contact.

True to an extent. IRPly or OORPly just giving up the base is not an option, especially since it involves not being compensated for doing so. The IRP losing credibility is also a factor but to a lesser degree to losing a few billion credits.

Besides, even if the base was given to the KSP after destroying the gun platforms...the KSP would have an unarmed base to take care of and would have to go through the process of rebuilding all the WPs...not really a good solution from the government.

Well, IRPly the BDS have asked the prime minister several questions and for evidence to warrant such an extreme demand on first contact. The prime minister has chosen not to reply yet, so a counter proposal cannot be entered.

There is also the fact that the base still shot at certain ships with bad reputations while it had KSP or KNF IFF, including a KNF indie battleship who purposely shot at the base solely to force the base to fire on him so that he could complain that the base was shooting him.

If all that is required to get rid of a base you don't like is to make a friendly ship, force the base to shoot at you,and then whine about it for a few weeks, that's a hell of a lot easier than getting friends together with enough battleships to siege it.

There are other solutions than:

Oh I completely agree. However in this case it is the prime minister making an unreasonable demand and not responding to questions that will lead down the path to FR5's and hostilities.

As you can see, the KSP supports the base remaining as is. The BDS will give up the base if the government pays for it. Changing IFF could have been a simple matter of stating it in the skype channel. However, it was shown previously that IFF didn't really make any difference to those complaining the most.

Does the BDS want this to devolve into full blown hostilities? Of course not. Will they accept it if the prime minister continues on this course of action? Yes.

OK i want to see proof that I shot this base in January. My KNF fired on this base late Feb, and i only found out this base was hostile in Feb when my GMG miner undocked from NT and got blown to hell in 3 seconds, which i docked there back in like november.
So all this "ryoken shot the base with KNF IFF is utter BS. Show me the screens, or shut the hell up. I did not even have a KNF Battleship in January, all i had back then was a KNF snub,with a diff name then the BS has now.
So like many say in my posts, "screens or it never happened"

Personally i would love to see you put the base hostile to all, and get Hogosha rehacked to hell and back because you are so stubborn. You seem to think you are the player base, and not just a part of it.

I was simply asked by the BDS faction leader to post on its behalf in the RP thread. In this thread I've made my own personal observations and shown the BDS viewpoint based on direct knowledge of what had transpired in game, as well as the last 3 months in the government channel.

Much of your own complaints take place during the time that the base had KNF IFF. If your personal issue was the IFF, then that would have resolved it. However, you continued your campaign of complaining, which to me personally, is simply you not liking that the BDS has a base there.

Why not just have them switch it back to KNF IFF once again and leave it there. Just /ignore anyone who continues to complain. Issue solved. Because there honestly are some issues caused by the IFF currently. You just seem to be missing them do to the ones you say are complaining no matter what.

Exactly what I've been saying. I haven't seen a SINGLE inRP post from Ryoken about his dislike of the base, only his childish whining in this thread, which as you said, doesn't do near as much good as a simple RP post would.


Ryoken, honestly, you're acting worse than Tel-Aviv did with his Zoner stuff. At least he attempted to RP his problems out, and do something inRP to gain him what he wanted. You, not so much, which is kinda disappointing for someone who's been here since 07.

EDIT: Ok, I stand corrected, I found ONE inRP post about the base from you, which is nothing more than "yes, I agree". One RP post compared to 100 OORP posts about it. Dat ratio.

No not at all, Sir.

I didn't expect success; not at all. However I didn't expect to get meta-gamed either on the premise of the font and color I used in my post. I didn't expect Hogosha representative players to suddenly be government officials when beneficial to their cause.

I did expect someone at least attempting to make oorp contact to me when they were meta-gaming, so we could decide together where things should head regarding my character (and not so much the base; I knew that was in no way up to me).

But please do go on with the rash conclusions and personal attacks.
