Lane Security

So, I don't spend a lot of time in Liberty, but I've noticed some people with the Lane_Security tag floating around and I'm curious as to who they are. They've either got numerical names or codewords (like Lane_Security-001 or Lane_Security-Alpha or something). I haven't actually seen any of them face to face, so I don't know what they are at all. But I haven't found any information about them, and I'm curious.

all in all the conclusion is that disco doesn't need antagonist factions, it doesn't need phantoms, it doesn't need nomads, it doesn't need coalition and it doesn't need many other things, no AIs, the game is hijacked by morons to confuse the game with their dickwaving generic competition games mixed up with troll-of-the-day.

Seems more like they sit in their bounty hunter battlecruisers at Manhattan, not patrolling around. Oh yes, i've seen about 3 different ones so far and all three were in bounty hunter battlecruisers:P

becoming a pretty nasty habit to pick unofficial factions - threads that slowly but steadily turn into flames. maybe its easier to first PM those people ingame to clear it up ( if you are really interested in who they are ) - at least they are directly addressed there - and only when you don t get a satisfactory answer make an official thread.

on topic: from what i have seen, they were BHGs operating in the inner systems. never seen them in the omicrons yet - or the omegas. no idea about their ships cause i never really saw one of them. but they haven t stuck out much, nither postivly nor negativly yet, i think.

I know what Jinx means, it seems that every unofficial faction we don't like gets a thread on the forums for everybody to moan at them. Really not good if people log on to the forums see 6 pages of people flaming them, not only that but it doesn't get us anywhere at all.

I, for one, vote for a lock before it gets out of hand and turns into an anti-Lane Security thread.

I talked with 2 of them ingame and can say that they seem to be nice guys.
When i was in my trader i had a good RP conversation with lanesecurity 01 about my last trade run, hacked lanes and possibel pirat hotspots.
they were patrolling separatly system by system, even in those where aren`t any pirats around or nearby. Looked like serious patrol-work to me.
For such questions a simple pm ingame would have been the best way imo.

Not my intention to offend or start a flame fest. I've seen them in game a few times, but I've either got other things on my mind or just forget to ask. And since I don't have a lot of time in game recently, I figured this would be the quickest way to get an answer.

Does anyone know a forum ID for anyone involved with this faction so I could ask over pm? I guess that'd be my best bet to get more info without risking another all-out forums brawl.
