One idea was to give them one forum in the RP section for their RP threads, and another in the ooRP forum for their ooRP faction stuff, but since that would've been more of a mess than anything, it was decided to move them out of the RP section and put them somewhere between the InRP and ooRP parts of the forum, which's what faction subforums actually are.
The reordering of boards is not the issue. I'm actually glad it was done.
What I'm speaking of is how the houses are currently shown from the index. Why not keep the houses in the sub-boards as they were before instead of the sprawling mass it has become?
Uhh... Seeing as you've merged ships for sale and ships wanted... Could there maybe be a requirement to put [WANTED] or [SALE]/[SELLING] in front of the thread name? To make it easier for people scanning through?
Seeing as the sections were originally separated, people could get away with just writing the name of the ship, as they was no confusion between whether or not they were buying or selling... But since they merged, those threads could be either.
I dont see the point of player owned bases staying its own forum of Disco RP section. Its amount of posts and potential replies to it make it really belong to a sub forum of the comm section or somewhere else. Its all out there in the open, but it shouldn't be.
Another note I would like to pitch (in the spirit of organization)
Why dont all the house subforums have a section for unofficial factions and make unofficial factions and groups (the ones that wont belong in the other section of the houses into a subforum of trans sirius)

I actually thought that they said they were going to do this, however I can't find the post which said that, so maybe I was just imaging it. Yes it would be nice and would make searching for an unnoficial faction that suits you much easier, although if you look at the thread count in that forum, there is an awful lot and might take ages to sort through which belong where. However I would quite like to see this implemented if possible.

I was thinking about this too. maybe as a subsection of the Comms Channel as well. Hadn't decided to commit to it yet, though.
I'll be playing around with the faction boards still. Although we're starting to get to a good place with the organization structure, I'm not entirely satisfied with how much is on the front page either. It might end up condensed again like it was before. Not entirely sure yet.

Just a suggestion, thought I'd say it.

Everyone using the same tag formatting for their threads would make the search function effective in that section, so those only interested in buying ships can do a search in thread titles for "Selling:" to only see the list of sale threads, and so on.
Also the first two pages of each subforum adjusted accordingly.

I know this is a subjective point of view but i feel that the current presentation of the Faction section (the front page of the main index) is so good know, i wouldn't touch it. I'm saying this thinking in the new registered players, that will find "that official faction he/she heard about" easily.
About the unofficial faction section, adding a subforum in each House/region could be good also, as has been pointed before in the thread. One of the selection inputs new players have in mind (not always) is the region "they liked more" in vanilla, thus having sorted by this concept will make things easier.
PD: Oh, and Kudos for the job, organizing this kind of stuff can be a pain in some cases I supose. Many thanks
