This is [Lane_Security].Alpha(aka .002) We will be giving a formal overview of what Lane Security's objectives and goals are, as well as a detailed Back story very shortly, so rest assured that your questions will be answered.
:rtfm: I have two comments on Your Statement about us floating in Manhattan and not doing Patrols.....
1. Yes recently we have been meeting in Manhattan mostly because it has been a safe system to meet fellow members and coordinate and/or begin our patrols... but your Observation does make a good point and I will be correcting this asap.. thank you.
2. Officially there is 7 [Lane Security] members so far (tho we did begin with 3) each of which has a Fighter and a Cap ship Pilot. There is also two differences in the Naming system used, numbers(like .001) are designations for a capital ship, players named with Military Alphabetic designations(like Alpha, Bravo, ect) are for [Lane Security]'s fighter division..
Now everybody has a little bit of information on our organization. I will Be Posting the Description under the Character Biographies area.. Thank you.
read my other post, we appreciate your suggestion

You know, I personally think you guys should trade in your bounty hunter IDs & tags (there are just WAY too many bounty hunters) and change to Ageira Technologies. As far as I know there isn't an official Ageira faction yet and in my mind they'd be the best faction for "Lane Security". you'd have tons of RP against the various Lane Hacker and Rogue factions and a wide scope for your area of operations. For example:
1) Patrolling trade lanes and engaging hostiles within Liberty and your areas of interest
2) Actively attacking Hacker bases and their operations
3) Protecting Ageira interests across Sirius (notably the JG construction sites in Tau 31 and Hokkaido and the TL construction sites in Tau 23, Tau 31, Hokkaido etc)
4) Protecting convoys transporting equipment to your areas of interest (JG/TL construction areas)
With the right mindset and decent RP you could have way more fun with that than you could simply being yet another group of generic bounty hunters. The ultimate choice is yours, but I just thought it'd be fitting:)

I think this makes a lot of sense, but wouldn't they have to completely lose the caps, or does an ageira ID allow them?
An Ageira tag is exactly what we had in mind... I'm currently working on that for Bravo (I already have the Ageira ID). :P
As to your ideas...
1. this is already in place
2. Organizing battles with Hackers and attacks on their bases (and ours...eg.-Pueblo Station) is an excellent idea. Any LH members or heads-of-state please PM me with ideas or suggestions when we could do this. Perhaps a massive assult at a pre-arranged time when all our forces could participate.
3. Another excellent idea...we really do need to step up patrols surrounding our interests.
4. This would work well too, perhaps another pre-arranged time when Hackers could try to intercept a massive convoy of gate/lane parts headed to the Chukogu Construction Site.
(could you imagine the mass confusion and adrenalin that would result in a large train convoy with fighter escort being intercepted in the middle of TAU-23's asteroid field?)
Anyone who's run a Train before knows the not-so-fun game of asteroid pinball!! :D
Thanks for your ideas and suggestions, Kuraine... this is exactly what we are looking for.
Discovery RP means exactly that...ROLE PLAYING.
A lot of people here are working hard to make this galaxy come alive, and I, for one, are one of those!!
'Till next time... keep the trains moving, the patrols active, the pirates busy, and the Liberty Ale flowing!!
You ask me why Im weary, why I cant speak to you.
You blame me for my silence, say Its time I changed and grew.
But the war's still going on dear, and theres no end that I know...
And I cant say if were ever...
I cant say if were ever gonna be free.

Without being able to verify this at the moment, I'm 99% certain that the Ageira ID doesn't allow capital ships (maybe Gunboats, but definitely nothing larger). BUT, that is not the only option. Bounty Hunters on exclusive contract with Ageira Technologies could use a BHG ID and earn an Ageira Tag afterwards (although you should max out the BHG rep again after switching tags). The fighters could easily use the Ageira Tag and ID, but Ageira IDs do not allow collecting bounties, so that is a downside.
The traders to support your caps would be a great fit for Ageira, though.
Since every yahoo who finally finished trading to buy his uber-cap and has the requisite grudge against pirates already base camps on top of Mactan base to blast LH as we undock, "attacking Lane Hacker bases and operations" isn't likely to impress us LH much. It would just lump you in with the rest of the _____.
Kuraine's other 3 points have merit.
I should also add that LH is pretty much at the point where anything larger than a VHF only has a deathwish if they confront us. Check our message dump from a week ago or so. We destroyed 3 or 4 cap ships and sent a Liberty Assault Carrier running for a planet, and the only friendly losses were non-clan members. AND we did that without even having a bomber or gunship or cap ourselves. It is getting to the point where killing BHG caps is dull, to say the least. It's not because we are all Aces, it's more of a rock/paper/scissors thing. Capital ships are not built to kill fighters, but fighters can easily be equipped to kill capital ships. Witness =LSF=Goliath being brought down by 1 bomber, 1 Sabre, and 1 Scimitar recently.
Regarding coordination of events between LH and [Lane Security]...maybe. I will have to be impressed with your professionalism and roleplaying first (and that means talking before shooting). I would suggest learning all there is to learn about Ageira and why the Lane Hackers want to bring down Ageira. If you want to coordinate something with us, then I would expect your people to know our official faction info as well as our own members do.
But don't get me wrong, I have an open mind.
So far, you have in your favor that I have not yet seen a Lane Security tromping around looking for a Lane Hacker to pwn indiscriminately. I can't even say that about some official factions.

Call me biased in respect to Hokkaido (since it's GC territory), but it would be more likely that the Hackers would enlist the aid of the Blood Dragons and the Golden Chrysanthemum to stop any convoy heading to Chogoku construction site (it's in their best interests to prevent such a convoy reaching its destination anyway).
Unless of course the Hackers launched from Leiden base in Galileo to intercept you in the independent systems before you could reach Kusari.

Certainly true on that one, but I meant more organised attacks coordinated between both sides, rather than just random assaults. Conversely, it would give the Hackers their true enemy to fight, instead of generic liberty security forces or whatever independent bounty hunter happens to be wandering around at the time;)
I'm truly amazed at how many people are curious about us(or angry at us)... thanks guys.
We are not a official faction..just a group of guys that love the game and this server, we are interested at becoming official eventually but I want to take all the necessary steps to Iron out our kinks so to say.
Some of yalls post are a little scary..*cough* but the majority of you wish nothing more than to help us develop our RP so thank you.
:yahoo::yahoo:
Seems I made your faction a celebrity by accident. My bad, won't be doing that again, hehe.
You're gonna have to deal with flaming and so on until you become official (if you do, sounds good so far), but that's not necessarily your fault, just a bias against unofficial factions. It's kinda understandable, since there have been a few unofficial factions that... weren't up to par. But hey, you guys just have to prove that you have the rp to back up your faction.
