i hope you reached Kusari and your home safely and with bueno memories. I know i will keep this little vacation from the rough Omicrons in my heart. Thing is...a chancce to see each other opened just recently -a streak of luck so to say! You might have heard of the problemas at Freeport 1- a surely nasty situation out here, but things are under control for now it seems. Anyways, by sheer luck i was in the region and able to help out with the evacuations and as i was already there i get to be the tansitional ambassador of our Empire there as the old one is deceased during the attack. I guess this will stay that way for some weeks till a proper replacement is found- and with the internal constructions of the Freeport not that severly damaged the Freeport will surely reopen in a day or two.
What do you think- can you wriggle a trip to the Omegas into your schedule? It is a rare case that i stay on non Corsair territory for such an extended period, so we might as well use it, si? I need to go to our teams here right now, sorry for being so brief...but message me back- i am craving for you out here!

Yes, I heard about attack on Freeport One. How terrible! One never know where danger is waiting - it is just month that we were sitting in restaurant there... You remember?*smiles again*Anyway, what a pity that we couldn´t and can´t meet there...I began to look forward that we will see again. And this freeport could be quite accessible for me. What a bad luck that I´m stucked here in Okinawa, because our company even sent there a repair ship and small rescue team to help. But they wanted to be quick and I have my duties here, so they unfortunately picked my colleague that was in Rheinland in that time. Without that, we already could meet there... I´m even better at in-space welding! But that doesn´t matter anyway now...

My pardon for not catching up with you earlier, we had lots of geusts here on top of this certain issue that needed my attention. Sadly i don't have many good news for us, i am preparing my ship to travel to the deeper Omicrons to check some of our supply lines and meet up with some hombres up there. If everything is bueno i will be back on Crete in some weeks- and i will try to do my best to sneak away in your direction after that! Maybe you want a Nomad trophy from that trip? Sorry for that...you know, fiesta. *she smiles* So, where was I? I don´t know... Anyway, that Nomad trophy! I would be more happy if you will not meet this creatures. I saw them two times in my life from safe place and they are really creepy. But...you were actually wrong when you said that none of my colleagues could boast with that! I don´t know what you exactly mean by trophy, but scientists from our facility have there something from the Nomads, they call it 'NAERs' what is abbreviation for 'nomad active energy remain' or something like that. They took me for a tour around their 'playground' one or two times and showed me that thingies. They were under the safety glass but it still frightened me. I had a strange feeling about them. But those guys admire it, they said something about unbelievable energy efficiency and unique attributes and some other science crap. But! It is true that these things are not theirs as that bigger ones cost several milions credits to buy and are very hard to obtain what I heard.

Well, I should go, midnight is almost there. What were you talking about at the end? Oh, Libertonians! You can be calm, one of the advantages of life in Kusari and especially Okinawa is that you can meet them here quite rarely. So everything is fine, I´m here with bunch of drunk Kusarians, few Rheinlanders and one Bretonian, but no Libertonian around... *she chuckles*

The screen flips to life, revealing Trueno in a dimly lit place looking relaxiedly looking into the camera, sipping a drink. The background is barely visible but you can hear loud humming of generators and a handful of voices coversating in guttural spanglish.
"Querida Laura- muchas gracias for your message, it lightens up the darkness out here quite a bit. Looking at the date i am afraid i can only wish you a happy new year in retrospect-- may it be a rich and healthy year for you! It seems you had quite the fiesta there, i hope no one got shot or drowned in a rum barrel?
How about your new years resolutions? I heard they are quite popular, si? Let me guess, living a honest hard working life is high up there, senorita Craft?"
He chuckles and raises his glass for a drink
" Ah well, we might as well have to talk about some things, we had so little time on the Hawaii, i really miss that- we should do that kind of stuff again as soon as possible, si?!
For now i guess it is only business though- and speaking of...chiquilla Catalina sends her regards, too- she has been asking wierd questions lately...might be a bit much new stuff with the switching from luxury to the gritty outskirts of humanity....ah well, children...
In any case, we are resupplying at the last Corsair outpost before the edge of man-ruled space and so far everything went as smooth as it gets, neither Outcasts nor Nomads or Bounty Hunters caused any problemas....just all these ion storms...madre mio, sensors are as dead as they get, we are sitting in a damp murky water until these are over!
On the plus side, this gives me time to reminisce about us and the future that might be...hm hm hm....life is bueno after all!"
You can see Trueno laying back in his seat, looking quite content and happy dreaming about Laura. As he wants to continue to speak to the camera the picture brightens up to a blue sheen for a second, then a larege explosion shakes the ship. The split second before the impact you see Truenos eyes go wide in terror, the impact throws him off his chair. Alerts are audible and people start rushing by while the surroundings are continuing to shake under further impacts.
"Jolín! Mierda !! So many! - man all ships you perrros-ANDALE ...ANDALE!!!!
Trueno jumps up from the floor and runs off the cameras view, screaming orders mixed with curses- as the camera falls off the table due to another explosion you can see a dining hall filled with many Corsairs racing about dodging sparkling cables and steaming pipes. Through a big window you can see bright blue shapes passing lobbing balls of energy at the station. There is no defensive fire to be seen or any Corsair ships in space. Somebody blindly rushes in direction of the Camera dragginf g one of the unlucky Corsairs along. A heavy boot crushes on the casing, the transmission ends apruptly.

Hola Trueno! Oh, I´m so glad that you are okay! That message scared me a lot... I even said last time I would be more happy if you will not meet these creatures on your journey, do you remember? I knew that Omicrons are dangerous place... What is quite a pity actually. I heard that some parts are beatiful. It must be great feeling, just freely roam there...*gets dreamy eyes a little*Anyway, I hope the rest of your journey was calm and safe.
But back to some nice talk about nice things, I´m sure you need that. So...you missed my voice? Nice to hear that...*smiles*Perdon that I sent just text message, but it was in hurry and as I said before, I really don´t want to risk sending video-messages from Okinawa.
Now, what were you asking me previously? Oh, that New Year´s party. Well...I was maybe little...exhausted...next day.*smiles*You know, drinking with Rheinlanders and especially a Bretonian from Dublin...of course, still it´s not like drinking with Corsair like Alicia,*chuckles*but still things sometimes go wild. And about New Year´s resolutions - yes, I actually made some and some of them are related to work. Did you make any? I actually want to work less and have a more time for...personal life. For example to have time to be with you... It feels like an eternity since we left Hawaii. But it seems that it will be harder than I thought because...*paused for a moment and her face grew sad*I have some bad news regarding our possible rendezvous.
I´m forced to stay within Okinawa, Honshu and New Tokyo at least until half of the February. I have ton of workload on my shoulders unfortunately. Apparently that pile of administration crap with annual financial closing and stocktaking is not enough! So I have to visit surface of freezy Miura to inspect some surface base construction site which company bought here now and make a detailed report about it, of course as soon as possible! But there is even more! I don´t know how it happened but guildmast...owner of the base where I live and work made - I don´t know why - some agreement with our director and now, for next almost four weeks, I´m responsible for supplying of whole base! For everything! Food, water, pharmaceuticals, basic repair materials, maybe probably even for drinks in vending machines too! I have a twenty pages order list on my desk already.
*her voice started to be half angry half ironic, but now she calmed down and turned into little sad again*
I think you know what this means. If we can meet, then only on Honshu or New Tokyo in time when I will stop there with ship for supplies. And I assume you can´t just wait here for me. Hi Trueno! Where have you been so long? I was waiting for your message... But finally got it yesterday. So are you still busy? Because I could have some time these days. You know, supplying of the station is over, majority of the paperwork and that report is done...I even was able to take one day-off today. So do you think we can meet soon? And where? I agree that Bretonia is not a good and safe place...I don´t like flying there. Even Freeport One is risky enough...I mean, for you. But still possible I think! Let me know...
