@jonnaffen747, I dont remember to ever downgraded you because of your english here. And I've seen the problems which you are talking about. Dublin "Golden-Rush" before 3 years brought a lot of russians that clearly didnt know english and it was impossible to RP with them. Still I found a way to deal with the issues without bringing any racism or "gt*o no*b" attitude.

My point was coming clearly from RP view and I see Alley already found it to be reasonable. I dont know if you understood that but in short I was stating the fact that your character (the owner of the base) is gona be judged if the base was restored because his mistakes lead to RP problems. Thats all.


PS: I really wanted to ask you something but I see now its necessary to get the answer. What would you have done if lets say the goverment gave you 2 days to evacuate the base? Or alright...lets say 5 days. What would you do? Would you obey, abandon and leave your base to die or would you provoke "Alederaan's" kind of RP of "TO all pirates - come to Hotel Alderaan for fun. bring caps. thx"....

I am eager to see your answer of What would you do and what steps would you take if warnings about the upcoming destruction of your base were given.

it's a skype decision, your death by the station was inrp, just like your comm complaint which was rp.

the only inRP thing jonnaffen got so far is a "hey we killed your base" (see http://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=99373).

You can't hide behind "inRP" all the time it isn't real life, there's a social dimension outside ingame.

You keep bringing this up without addressing much of the rest of the problem, but based on whose claims? You write one post after another bashing the players behind Bret government, saying they got the password under a pretext to fix an IFF problem and then used it to destroy it. That would definitely be a very very lame move and something I'd find unacceptable. But is it true? The other side says they had the password all along, as a fail-safe option for the Bretonian government, and even had partial ownership and helped in a significant part of its construction.

They're called admins. If a base is to be found to be oorp trolling, the admins should be the ones to step in, not individual players.

It only creates bad blood between players.

Personally, I think Summer got the ish end of the stick in this as well, as he was only carrying out orders.

The situation could have been handled more delicately in my opinion.

Lulz. Anyone who knows me or has spent one iota of time with me knows that this simply isn't the case.

I felt responsible for encouraging my friends to help me build up the base and then having them quit over it's destruction. I was trying to get it back, or at least permission to build another. At which point I was going to rebuild it and surprise if they ever came back.

I've decided to just grind and put the money they put into the base back onto their chars.

I felt like I ruined their fun. It sucked. That's really the long and short of it.

Look I'll Explain you how it was :

As the base was core 2 , I had gaved it up started playing another game cuz i got bored of all the work. I gaved the base to Summer via Skype, no RP Happend I had told him to make an inRP post he didnt done (I got all Skype logs still.). I was playing another game 3 months seems like Summer had the pass and all was fine at the time. I camed back getted the base back, the master pass, Summer wanted to let the 2ndary Pass I said hmm... Im unsure it's my base. He said this is an Term Also I agreed. He said not for what he Needs the Password or if it's for the Government. Then he went to Holidays I finished base to core 4 , Tested platforms 1 time, A bowex arrived he got shooted i stopped testin tried to reach him via pm , he logged out... Another day i tried again (Me in my bomber vs base) I had just supplied it and set the defensemode so i can log my bomber it was f1d 10 k under the gate. I was goin to relog but pressed start button , as I was goin to redock I needed to go afk and parked my ship , my mother called me. Then the [C] guy arrived, He died I was afk Couldnt help him in any way. If i would be in my bomber while this time i would had taked the fire on me and he would be fine but this wasnt that what happend. Also I setted back the defensemode and gaved up testin the crap and leted it so as it is. Next day summer writed to me in Skype : Hey i Need pass and iff Needs to be bpa, I said fine. Np. Easy Job. I gaved him what he wanted cuz it was a term what he had said before (where i had thinked it was WC). He changed IFF all fine , deleted all commodities shooted at will on the base. He was Happy. I was in conn and trained while the time, In the time he was on vacation i had changed the pass cuz i didnt trusted him, now i see this was a confirmed Feeling. He used the Password for his own purposes and abused his inRP char availabilities.

I wasn't referring to that because as you pointed out there's two sides saying opposite things so w/e.

What I pointed out is how you completely neglected the fact that it was HIS base, not yours. Sure he may have given you access to his base as you're the kings of that ingame spot but it especially proved he was cooperative and far from being a moron with harmful intentions or trolling you. There was -no- reason to not communicate with him and even less to wtfexplode his base like this.

I extracted these two sentences as they are the most important to me. If that post was indeed never made then any moderator or admin that actually bothered to read "that thread" knows that any skype thing/agreement is not valid for report evidence but also for ingame as it MUST be written on the forums or proved with ingame logs.

Just because the character Luke Walker received no notification about the removal of the station as a consequence of his actions, prior to it happening, that doesn't mean the whole was not inRP.

But just not to hide behind "inRP" always, let me tell you, the notion that I can be blown up anytime I pass the station for no actual reason other than the amusement of an other player was enough frustrating ooRPly too. And after the second incident I could really not easily be convinced this would not repeat itself.

If the incident can be dealt with within the boundaries of roleplay, why should have they/we asked for admin intervention?

Trolling them? No. Trolling the casual trader at the NL Gate? Maybe, I'm not convinced that he is innocent. And there was already given enough reason (game mechanics) not to communicate him beforehand.

The things you talk about are concerning a mistake done in RP which resulted in RL time lost due to the destruction of the base. With or without notice it was a huge chance the base to be destroyed...after days or without. So again, what would you do?

I am asking you this because most "owners" in your place would gone rogue, invite pirates, and core4 with 7 platforms would be a very nice dagger in the back. That would be OORP and you would be in trouble but still I see you insist to RP so my question is totaly in RP -> What would u do?
