What Video card you use?

If you have Nvidia just open Nvidia Controll panel (right clik on desktop) go to 3d program settings and add java.exe and javaw.exe and now you grafic procesor will kick in.

(06-02-2013, 12:06 PM)Narcotic Wrote: Nvidia GTX 660M (2GB)

Will try, thanks.

Didn't change anything. With shader it now runs at 4 fps (without at 30).
Without doing to allocate thing it runs at 15 with shader and 60 without.

(As reference: Battlefield 3 runs smooth at 40 with ultra settings and 1920x1080.)

what windows are you running?

your motherboard is it a dual channel memory capable?

if so then 2x512 + 1x256 MB RAM (pc3200) <- lose the 256mb

i doubt a reinstall will fix the problem

i would at least double the amount of ram you got but do it in equal sets, dont bother with the 256 its just a waste of time

try getting 2 gig then 4 or more what motherboard is it

As i thought...the problem was not of my configuration or anithing else, for some reason every time my pc gets upludged ,the bios settings are set to auto, thing i do not like because it dosent exploit the strong parts of my configuration.

It happends in the past and now i configured it again,Minecraft runs at 40-70 fps witch all settings to high, render to far and even the HD pack...i feel stupid and the reason i did not forseen this is because my mobo has a starting screen that overwrites the status check one and the PCU was at 166 fsb instead of 200 x 2

As for ram it works as stated at 512 mb also i recomand for any other of you that have problems with MInecraft, Tuneup Utillities 2012 because this utility has a force option to kill everithing else while running an app in fullscreen

Id still recommend getting more ram. You are gonna have issues if you try to generate too big of a world. Also it is better if you use the same size / brand memory sticks. Here is an article explaining why

http://lifehacker.com/5598716/what-are-t...pes-of-ram

so your 256 mb of ram might be underclocking the 512 sized ram sticks.

Ram is dirt cheap nowadays you can easily get 8 gigs of ram below 100 dollars and I even saw 16 gigs of ram for just a bit over 100 dollars. (that would usually be 2 sticks of 4 gigs or 2 of 8)

if you motherboard resets when its unplugged that sounds like the cmos battery has ran out, probably a cr2032 not expensive replace it and it should keep all your settings

Trail if you could read my posts better you could figure out that i know my way around computers.Thank you for your information but i allready do that. Also i stated my system specs in the first post...from that you cand deduce that my system cannot posibly mount more than 4 gb of ram and also 4 gb of ddr1 or sd are very hard to find nowdays and also very expensive compared to the other ddr2/3 and so on

The mobo bat is ok,i change it once a month...it could be the connectors

Thank you guys for you help...it was really helpfull bouncing ideea out of you...in the end my Minecraft runs with HD pack and full HIGH detatil with a staggering 40-92 fps and my system could not posibly do this.Found some minecraft specs on m forum and it appears my minecraft should run with 10-15 fps......at low detail

Adjust affinity and 1 core to java also notice do not enable chunk loading to multi-core...for some reason that is the issue on multy core platforms and a main issue in minecraft/java

Also if you didnt changed anithing...try get your system specs and see what bios tells you.Standard bios setting are the worse posible and as my problem...worse is WORSE. 166x 11 = 10 fps and 200 x 11 = 90 fps

Also most mobo's and pcu's work double the fsb stated. While my rams work at 200 my cpu at full speed (NOT overclocked) works optimal at 400 fps.If this dosent work just open the case and look at the jumper near cpu and change it to FSB if it set to CPU.This is the issue in buying stock computers, while the computer itself is high tech, the guy that asambled it could placed the jumpers in the wrong order or simply messed up the bios settings.Try highering your page file to double you ram or set them to standard (this option is usualy 2x ram)

In short, Minecraft is CPU intesive not Ram intensive as you all consider it to be.

ahhuh. That number would be higher if I was playing on a singleplayer world or on a world that has been explored a great deal

and I can not deduct if you can or cannot use specific types of ram unless you actually gave me info on the motherboard so I could look it up. Honestly if you cant then you really just need to build a whole new PC
