I am not interested in cheating it dont float my boat, ppl who call FPS some kind of cheating are just noobs really as its not really something sophisticated or worth merit its an abuse of game mechanics nothing more!

Unfortunately like the rest of Freelancer this MOD shut down its official server months ago due to lack of funds / interest which seems a waste really as it looks a great mod, apparently someone is running another server with it but I havent checked.

For me POB are a creative idea when it first came out I was captivated but like all things flashy it quickly became Dull as do all things that are not really useful to anyone. POBs are only really useful now to trading factions using them as selling hubs or to manufacture special equipment. That is their real purpose now the gimmick has worn off yet I feel like it has robbed the servers population of P 2 P interactions as a result of everyone being to busy with their bases.

They should not copy the exact model from this mod but the concept of a destroyed planet is amazing and would look great in Texas and Leeds:

I haven't noticed any less PvP since the bases were introduced than there was before. If anything now there is something new to fight over.

well i would not mind if freelancer gets a update in fx.
(mostly looking for the draw distance of the mineable stuff so biger ships have also a chance to mine)
still fixing the stuff thats allready in it makes more sense i guess ( are there any. chances for a gui to basebuilding, warping, cloaking, and pimp your ship?)

Nah, all I see there are just 2 awesome mods with Vanilla content inside, and those are Discovery and Crossfire. No other mod will surpass those 2 Tongue

You know that you can easily use any effects (projectiles, explosions, lane/gate effects, suns, light) and textures (starsphere, planets, bases, asteroids, NPC clothing etc.) from other mods?

It's not hard to tune the game by your own without triggering the anti-cheat. And just as example, my untouched vanilla Freelancer runs at 180 fps, while my enhanced one 'just' has 40-100.

Are you saying there's graphics mods that are compatible with Discovery?
