So i've come back - again, and sold some ships now i've got 900m.
Now i wanna know who's active these days. What factions? Where would i find the most people online (Systems/ sectors of space (house/ omegas. omicrons etc)) and active players WILLING TO ROLE PLAY.
Where's the pirate hot spots? again, Active areas.
What ships are most popular these days? What do you see more of? Gunboats n' fighters still?
And feel free to add in answers to questions you'd think would be helpful that I haven't thought of.
Well, I am making a new faction which involves an LPI ID and borderline unlawful RP. Poke me, if you are interested.

Well the most active systems are still New York, Pennsylvania, Tau-23. but i have to say that new berlin also got a quite nice activity push and the omicrons especially gamma, 74, kappa, delta, mu also got a revival now. if you look for good RP omicrons should be the best choice.
the most active pirate spots are stil near california.
Check the faction activity, depending on which faction you want to play...basically. I won't patronise you, you clearly have experience.
Capspam is rife in Liberty and Rheinland, joining factions on either side will grant the use of caps for raids etc.
Pirating hotspots are in places like Kusari, Tau's. Anywhere that supports mining and smuggling routes too.
The Tau's/Omicrons are likely the most busy apart from the obvious like New York etc. Frequent large-scale battles occur in the Omicrons, Leeds, the border of Liberty/Rheinland and all that. Best way is to just play and see where people end up in peak times. Gallia's pretty dead.
Where is this faction activity chart/sheet thingy?
So far it's looking like a tough time deciding on Cap ships...
I'm looking for something Different.... And i was looking at the tech chart- loving the idea that anyone can have anything- within RP- & the core'nerf will come into affect.
I dont care much for combat in this game, Sure i like a ship that can make things go "Bommboom", Yet i love the RP- And I was wondering, For something Different.... I have this idea:
AI ID. With a Gallic Liner. Sure he'd be knocked to 10%, Yet i can obtain neutral grounds with pretty much everyone- Still trade around if needed. And have a great time admiring the beauty of the Gallic ship & RP a Gallic AI...
What do you think? Sure its a basic idea- I will expand on it in detail, But so faaar? yay? Nay?
Well if you are looking for the most active factions at the moment, that would be IMG| and CR| (mostly active in the Taus, plus the Omegas and Coronado respectively).
For the Colonials, an indy Thanatos can be a very nice ship to sink your money into and find a lot of fighting in the Taus, Bretonia and perhaps an Alpha raid or two.
The Omicrons are also fairly active if you wish to make a Zoner or Order (and the other factions to a lesser degree). Leeds and Texas are also pretty cap raid-y if you wish to get involved.

A Gallic AI (or an AI that installed itself in a Gallic ship, whatever you choose) is a nice idea - although I do believe someone did something similar a while back. One correction though, with Gallic Civilian ships you won't actually be permitted by Bretonian and Liberty laws.

Maybe apply for joining the Artificial Intelligence Consensus | Logistic Division. I am still in need of a 2iC
If you're interested in having a Gallic Liner then I suggest applying for one of the factions there. All of the current official groups (GRN| EFL| |IDF [UC] [C]) are fairly active and above three days' activity on the tracker.
As for neutrality, well, roleplay is much more fun when there are some people who don't like you.

"You see what your knowledge tells you you're seeing. ... how, what you think the universe is, and how you react to that in everything you do, depends on what you know. And when that knowledge changes, for you, the universe changes. And that is as true for the whole of society as that is for the individual. We all are what we know, today. What we knew yesterday, was different; and so were we."
