//I'd like to first state out of character I am relatively new to this game and heard about it through Star Citizen. I'm a high level officer for a clan in another game. I turned several of my clan mates on to this game and you will probably notice us in huge flight groups of large transports and fighters, generally around 9 or 10 ships flying in formation. We have been glued to the game and have amassed a fortune of nearly 5 trillion dollars through trade. Out of all the factions we enjoy the way liberty rp's most. We generally are on team speak together. As of yet we have remained neutral wanting to amass a small fortune before we got involved politically. As our leader I wanted to learn the politics and familiarize myself with the game before I jumped in. Rhienland has been causing a small amount of irritation, so we have decided to direct our recources towards causing them trouble. We have also been courted by bretonia and galia. But decided to start with liberty first. Most my clan members hate forums so they want me to represent them here//
*A man wearing a rougish smile and flowing cape trimmed with gold walks confidently into the command headquarters and is abruptly stopped by security personel*
"Sir this area is restricted". Lucas grins and replies almost laughing, " Is it restricted if I have plans and the means to obtain one of your battle cruisers, several in fact, furthermore the men at your shipyards are horrendously under paid." A few seconds the security guard eyes him, in shock at this revelation, than slowly begins reaching for his side arm. Lucas's confidence barely falters and he replies smooth as silk, "I wouldn't do that son, first off my men wouldn't be to happy about that". Suddenly fifteen or so rough looking free lancers enter behind him seemingly armed to the teeth." Secondly I don't have the plans in my possession, thirdly I am coming here as a friend and I refuse to explain myself to a subordinate. You proceede to attempt to place me into custody and I might have to talk to the Bretonians, or Gailians. I want you to com your superiors immedietly".
The security guard coms and within seconds several Liberty Guards rush into the room followed by a Lt. The Lt quickly pipes up quite alarmed.
"Sir you are to follow us immiedetly, your men are to stay here and your to relinquish your side arm" With a wave his cloak flaps as he looks back towards his men and speaks, with an almost music like tone." If I am not back in an hour you are to transmit the plans for the Liberty Cruiser to the Bretonians and Galians."
The Lt. responds almost angrily. "And what if none of you return". Lucas than smirks dangerously, " You truly think these are all my men? Those that I left behind in other regions of space not controlled by Liberty will release the plans if we do not report in the allotted time. And don't worry I'm not here to extort a bribe. I have an offer and I have a feeling if your superiors don't end up hearing and they find your the one responsible for your ships designs being leaked to the enemy you might end up in a jail cell right beside me. " Lucas than laughs dangerously, not in the least bit intimidated.
The Liberty Lt. loses his air of confidence and immiedietly picks up the com frantically trying to contact high command. Within minutes the Lt. looks up. "Mr. Darkhaven please come this way". Lucas Darkhaven looks back at his men. "If I don't come back you know what to do". His men than nod, almost fanatically loyal.
As Lucas enters the command chambers he opens both his ands and extends his arms with a warm smile, his voice booming. "I am Lucas Darkhaven, free lancer and leader of men and I have a surprise for you." Out of his pocket he pulls a holo transmitter and an image comes to life depicting a Rheinland fighter zomming out of Liberty space at high speeds followed in close pursuit by a fleet of trading ships. A fire fight ensues and the fighter is disabled and tractored into a large transport."
Lucas than continues to speak his voice booming and confident, "This Rheinland fighter had plans for one of your cruisers aboard. Up until recently my band of men had been content remaining neutral and amassing a great fortune as traders. Whenever we travel through Rheinland space we are continually harassed by the military there. Usually we keep to the fringes and their efforts to extort us are generally unsuccessful due to the size of my convey, they have proved enough of an annoyance I am ready to act against them. This is why I rushed in aid to Liberty and investigated this suspicious occurance and it seems I have struck gold."
Darkhaven than frowns. "I don't know if it is lack of funds or man power but nothing is being done to combat the Rheinland threat. Furthermore I have heard the workers at your shipyards are notoriously underpaid and very open to *smiles* financial opportunities. I am prepared to make a generous financial donation to your coffers and would like sanction to build a fleet, completely funded by myself, under my direct authority, to combat the Rheinland threat. I would like your blessing. That being said the Bretonians and the Gailians have been courting my men and myself, however I have always identified with Liberty, and its values. Before you decide to simply attempt to arrest me please understand I did not bring the plans with me. An opportunity is being presented before you. However, not to challenge your authority, but I will do anything to combat the Rheinland threat and please understand I have the means, finances, and man power to do so without your blessing and sanction. I would also like to mention both there are other Nations that would happily take on this offer, but I have come to you first. You may either make a friend or ally, or turn that into something that might be, well, less than desirable. The choice is yours.
Lucas Darkhaven then bows with a flourish and rises quickly smiling patiently awaiting the response of the High Command.
*After being ignored he quickly reaches inside his cloak pulling out the plans and smiles roguishly*
I was lying, here are your plans..
*He violently throws them to the floor them, crashing them to pieces*
Not wise in such a dangerous galaxy to turn away friends and your welcome. I can show myself out.
* He about faces in military fashion, his cape flowing and storms off, as he leaves one of the Officers mutters something about Lucas having a Galic look to him, but he is dismissed quickly*
"That scum is just some cocky freelancer, nothing to worry about from him".
*For the sake of roleplay and fixing a power gaming issue this all happened at the Navy Office in Manhattan. He was unarmed, and his escort was also unarmed, furthermore Lucas made this scene in the commanders office*
Leon Chevalier stood, watching the scene unfold before him.
"I can show myself out." said the man. Chevalier smiled and followed him out the door.
"Mon ami" he called after him in a friendly tone. "Not all of us here are bound by regulations such as taste, decency and due process."
Catching up with him, he tapped the man on the shoulder. "I would like to add, while at present I work with the forces of this nation, I do not work for them... Only with..." He paused "This gives me a degree of freedom to act in a fashion that would not be considered becoming of an officer of the Liberty Navy."
Leon smiled warmly, before punching the man hard in the back of the head. He looked at him with something approaching pity, leaning in closer to whisper in his ear.
"Poor attempt mon ami. It is possible to manipulate the situation sometimes... Somehow, in this universe, many people find it possible to obtain information which they have no way of knowing. But if one such logical boundary is broken, I can also dictate your behaviour, guide your life, make you dance like a puppet on a string."
Leon grinned.
"Today, I will simply satisfy myself with punching you again."
