Shalom, I will not point any fingers to anyone, I think both are convinced they are doing the right thing, and It is not up to me to decide, However I know that both parties will want the innocent to go-harmed, So that's a game changer, perhaps both parties will see pass the conflict and find co-existence. On another issue, I've sent some of my personal subordinates to Ganaria to establish Field hospitals and It I will fund more to come.


So far, we have saved

An old friend of mine, who I must add is quite displeased with recent events, has informed me of what is going on at Gran Canaria. With that in mind, I believe a lesson is in order. Corsairs, Coalition, let me tell you of my people. Why? Well, mostly because you can't change the channel anyway.

Long ago, there were the colonies, and there wasn't much else. But even then, there were the Zoners. We wanted freedom. We wanted our life in our own hands. We didn't want to work for someone else's bottom line, we wanted mutual cooperation and the brotherhood that comes with it. Some felt exploited. Some were bored. Some were lured by the mystery of the unknown, and the desire to know it.

Despite these disparate motivations, we are all Zoners.

We live all over Sirius now. Freeport 1 is usually quiet, Freeport 5 sits in the desolate reaches of the Omegas, Freeport 11 on the frontier of the Omicrons. There's not a lot of communication, and we have our squabbles because none of us deal with the same problems as the rest.

Despite our many differences, we are all Zoners.

We are united by need, and through that need came brotherhood. We may not always like each other, but we will provide for our fellow Zoner.

In this, we are much like both of your groups. You know from your own experiences what an exploited people can do when we must.

We are all Zoners, and Omega-49 is ours.

Magistar Orlov, you need those goods and medical personel more than you know. As you can see, I've directed all of it to you. For any patients in need of advanced care, shuttle them to Canaria Medical. We keep a few Starfliers around for planetary duty where they make great medical shuttles.

The aid and sympathy seems to be pouring in. It seems that Sirius has heard about this madness. It may be what makes the difference.

For the rest of the Corsairs, and I've already sent similar word to the SCRA, the reason they are here is because you are here. I was told that the Corsair Empire planned on taking Canaria for themselves. If they leave and you leave, that would make me wrong but if they leave and you stay, then those rumors would be correct. Or you could all be "the bigger men" and just go on your way.

I've had about enough of watching people here be bullied, of the excuse of purging whatever enemy scum's encampments may or may not be here. I'm tired of cleaning up the mess. It's disturbing when you consider that humanity left ancient Earth because of constant warring to find a new home. Humanity didn't learn!

People of Omega-49,

It should be obvious by now what the Corsairs intend. They have already landed on your planet and declared themselves to be your masters whether you realize it or not. They have enacted martial law and established military outposts. This is clearly a military occupation.

The civilian casualties that the Corsairs continue to inflict remains high and their occupation continues to grow. The SCRA is reaffirming its commitment to Omega-49. We cannot and will not allow the Corsairs to establish a stronghold in the system. To do so would be to endanger everything that we have ever fought for.

The time for a peaceful solution ended when the Corsairs began to use nuclear and biological weapons against the civilians of this world. Despite what their propaganda may tell you, these weapons will have a far-reaching effect on the planet.

As of this moment the SCRA is deploying all available forces to the campaign to expel the Corsairs from Omega-49. We will crush the Corsairs in space, we will do so on the ground if need be. It is our desire to prevent such drastic measures but do not be fooled, preparation is already underway to counter the Corsairs on the ground. It is up to the people of Omega-49 to rise up and expel the Corsair invaders lest our hand be forced.

The Corsairs have been allowed to do as they please in this sector for too long. No more. We will crush them, we will decimate them, we will tear their ships into scrap metal and we will make them pay with their lives. They will learn to fear us as they have before, running like rats to the safety of their bunkers on Crete.

Let me be abundantly clear on this to all the people of Omega-49. We will not interfere with your humanitarian efforts, we will not interfere with your defenses of Gran Canaria orbit but we will absolutely not tolerate you sitting idly by while the Corsairs strengthen their grip on Gran Canaria. To allow this to happen is to aid the Corsair Empire.

To aid the them is to die.
