Nop. This is only part of one personal/faction hangar of one certain person/faction. It was posted in certain faction forums after the RSI forum topic about the small amount of Idris offered for sale (1000 $ each) and pirate factions buying them all out.
I guess I would start as gunner at some of those things and then we would see.
I will roll with the basic Aurora thing- the cheapest as possible. I prefer to buy new Mobo/CPU and HOTAS on launch- real things not pixels. I wish to buy more stuff but I does not have the money for it. Also I am not certain about the game mechanics yet- with the PvP slider and money involved in game I still have the fear that it could end in Pay to Win, so having the basic game in order to try it out and migrate eventually to private servers if the main one is shitty was my plan.

1. It's their money.
2. They support developers before the game is released (even before alpha).
3. There will be no ship that one cannot buy or get in-game.
So basically, leave the spenders alone or praise them that they are adding to the development of awesomeness out of their wallets.
I myself would buy a cool ship if I had spare money, not to get advantage over other, but to have more fun in game.
Though I start to see the strech goals as a way of milking more money as such functions (Hibernation, pistol) should be no-brainer.
It's like adding arrows to Tomb Raider for reaching final strech goal when the bow itself is an iconic weapon.
