So, ladies, gentlemen, and small furry creatures from Alpha Centauri.
I am looking for some RTS games to play. Ones that run on a pretty crappy PC. Crappy as in, it runs Company of Heroes on pretty much lowest graphics. I sifted through a few lists of "The best RTS games of all time" etc. but honestly, I didn't find much that interested me since many were the usual (boring) AoE-style base-building, resource-gathering sort of stuff.. Company of Heroes' gameplay seems to have become irreplaceable for me.

I have been considering getting out good ol' Red Alert 2 again, just for the heck of it. I just checked on Red Alert 3 and, surprisingly enough, it would appear as though my computer could run it decently. So I might get that soon.
Dawn of Fantasy is pretty cool, mostly because it's completely different from anything else I've seen before, though the requeriments are high and the ingame perfomance is kinda crappy. Luckily the dev team releases patches every week and stuff is getting better.
Starcraft and Starcraft 2 on multiplayer are insane beyond my understanding, thus it's real fun. Don't expect to win any of the first 50 matches.
Rome Total war will probably work on your PC, and if you ever get bored of it there are lots of mods.
The Spellforce series were fun too, pretty sure you can run all of them. There are several expansions for Spellforce 1 and 2 with lots of hours of gameplay, the only drawback is that it's mostly campaign.

That can be fixed with some adjustments.
Also, the mod Europa Barbarorum for Rome is awesome.

I played both on my netbook. So I dare to say that the 2nd runs on any PC aswell.
