Player bases have the problem of being, well, destructible. Rather than latch onto the route profits, we'll probably do something about player bases instead.

Are Armored Transports considered small enough to fit in "freighter" ports?

No. Only freighters, not transports.

Okay, I'm just thinking because the ATrans is a lot closer in size to a Grizzly, for example, and closer in cargo space to a Camara than to a civilian 1K transport.

EDIT: The ATrans (800) and Gull (1000), to scale: http://i.imgur.com/cobAn5W.png

Yep but the armoured trans also has the armament of a transport. The point is to have tiny ships carrying the cargo, those that are underused.

Oh my god, finally, smugglers gets some love. Looks like I'll be beefing my Anki Freighter back up then.

Woop! Thanks Kikatsu, you've brought back my hope!

So this means that no Transports can cross through Jump holes? but what about other POB's that their ony way is Jump Holes? , how can now transports going to supply them? .. I just want to Clarify.

Not a problem, Leo. (now only if these events would come to pass...)

Also,
Most jump holes will still remain open to all ship types... but from what I know, the locations where jumpgates are going to be destroyed will not have moor points, meaning cap raids will need jumpdrives and some coordination to raid the neighboring systems. Fighters and freighters can cross freely though. I am not sure what other jump holes are losing their moor points though.

What I am looking forward to are the new freighter models, like these

Eh, I'll keep my Anki. Strong, agile, and just enough cargo space to make a profit. IMHO it's a perfectly balanced smugglers dream for a ship.

...and it looks cool to boot. Those are nice looking though.
