The scope of that suggestion is pretty broad. Would seem to include any number of actions. I just picked one that was suggested by someone else. Sorry that I picked one that you didn't agree with. If you had a specific course of action in mind that players should pursue, excluding the one I suggested, you should have been more explicit about it.

But whatever.

I'm still waiting for an answer from the Admins as to what their views on capships are. Why is it such a difficult question to answer? How should we, as players, view capital ships? I'm asking for input here. A little guidance. Are they just glorified fighters? Freighters? What? Are they whatever we choose to make them? Or do the Admins have a vision of what they should be?

If they really are whatever we choose them to be, then the matter is ended and you are all absolutely right - we're just whinging needlessly.

If they aren't, well, that's something else entirely.

I have played for over 4 years, and one of the factors I consider when chosing a mod is the ability to pilot cap ships. I voted to keep it as is.

I am the kind of person that doesn't have time to be in a clan, and I form my own little group with their own stories from the chars I have. Therefore I shouldn't be required to get approval from a faction. I love capital ships. In fact when I played the evolutions mod I was known for having 4 bs characters. Of course, you cant do that here. Capital ships are beautiful things and I just love them. I loved to explore the galaxy in them..and mine in them. The lib dreadnought was perfect for trading and mining, and I even mined in the RH BS. I don't know what bs I will be getting here, but I will get one, that is for sure. I tend to prefer the big and slow more than I do flying fighters.

I think each player should fly what they want, after all it is FREElancer.

I think an easy thing to do is require everyone that owns a battleship to register it in a thread or someplace specific on the forums. That way we at least get all Battleship users to go to the forums, unless they ignore that rule too... Let the flames begin.

Guard Systems people! It means = NO PLAYER-BASED RESTRICTIONS. This means we don;t have to JUDGE PEOPLES ROLEPLAY.

And it shows that the people have to truely be dedicated to their chosen NPC allignment to get it.

God, this server is REALLY starting to piss me off. Its not the Rogue cap's fault. It's all this crap that we do to try and make the server right for us, and not friendly to those out there who acctually try.

The whole Guard system thing doesnt mean much to me. If someone is willing to spent weeks trading, then whats a quick visit to the guard system followed by a 500k bribe, or a few missions going to do?

Still my point. It makes the player more alligned to the ships allowed factions then he would if it wasn;t on the guard system.

This means more role-play necause its harder for him to change factions.

Its just gona make people quit the server I think.

Making them more expensive will just make traders trade more and still buy it regardless of price because they Want to fly it

Bombers can easily take out a Capships easily.
People want to fly the biggest ship possible and will trade until they can get it so let them?

Guard System + Guard Tag for Gunboats (Gunships), Cruisers (Destroyers), Battlecruisers, and Battleships (Dreadnaughts, Juggernaughts).

I have the Hacker Guard tag. Almost got it in a Dagger.

OK, maybe not gunboats...
