I was suggesting that it be released WITH discovery, as an option in the setup for discovery.

That way the problem with compatibility wouldn't be i think.

Open SP for Discovery was released with 4.78 and there were no compatibility issues. Same applies to 4.79.

Incorporating it as an option is too complicated. I'm afraid it will cause issues difficult to track.
