Another vote for the Rheinland Pirate Cruiser from me. That said, Junkers in Cruiser-class ships should never be a common sight and, when they are seen; they shouldn't be camping major bases and planets in House space.

I voted Rheinland cruiser, only coz it looks huge and ugly enough for the Junkers to work with. *BUT* only with modifications to make it look even crappier (rusty skins, bits hanging off).

Junker in a Cruiser? No thanks. Get a Collector/CSV.

Seriously, none of those ships is Junkerish.
And seriously, I strongly object with the idea of Junkers in war ships.

Well, junkies might have a lil' sumthin' sumthin' stashed up their sleeves. Verg saw to it, that junkers have a shipyard (in a nice home system) and if I remember it right - its capacity is more than sufficient to build something bigger than a CSV from time to time.

I mean - come ON! If IMG could make something as big as an Albatross (and yes - IMG has a shipyard too), then what can the most powerful black marketeers in Sirius accomplish?

I think IMG was a good bet for some odd ships that got in the mod early. Applies to the Albie. Early SW model (bad textures is proof).

Right now - with Tau-44 ready, IMG can think of some heavier firepower both for themselves (see new IMG gunboat - cute all-rounder with a special feature) and whoever wishes to buy some guns. Plans are to get a full line of ships for IMG, where the GB is the first specimen. All this for one purpose only - self-defence from our cardamine-sniffing friends to the North and our tea-sippin lads to the South (should they try anything)

Necessity forces development. IMG has a friend in Rheinland - ALG. They have some good foundries - perfect shipbuilding materiel supplier. Plus - seems like Rheinland supports IMG politically (see the summit in Liberty before the KU/BR war), so... I'd expect RH to buy a lot of stuff from IMG. Niobium is the best example. We get cash, ALG supplies some good plates and Simgapore makes some cute GBs out of that.

i totally agree, a junker would not want a cruiser except to cut it up and sell for scrap. i'm totally against junkers in any type of warship. they don't attack anyone and even if they wanted to they would hire someone or turn them in to the lawfuls.

the rumor about them being more powerful than they realize is true......who else is going to haul the junk away? if not for the junkers Sirius would be full of junk and unliveable...that's all that means.

junkers are just that....junkers

Well Forschung's Junker cruiser is going to stay just as that. I know people are against the idea of Junker cruisers, but that isn't going to stop me from using mine.

I think that ship actually looks like an ideal small research ship, and that is what I use it for. It creates for some good rp I think. Like when I take it into an debris field and gather scrap and then analyze it and see what the scrap is from. It is also useful for rp to keep it near the base where I bought it and try to find out what exactly happened there, by studying the debris. It also works as a more secure way to move weapons to and from bases.

It is also nice to have more options than just fighters to defend our system should it come under attack.

I also feel that many who think that Junkers should have no cruisers or gunboats (I think we can all agree battleships are just too much for junkers) just want to keep us weaker and easier targets. I don't believe for a second that everyone against Junker caps are against it for RP reasons. There needs to be huge ships and somewhat formidable ships in the Junker arsenal to deal with xenos and to mine large amounts of scrap. For that reason I am never giving up my RH PR cruiser or mining ship.

Well, scrap isn't mined...you just haul it off, to the bases that handle it.
Big guns, to deal with xenos.....I really don't want to touch that, but I will.
Xenos are dirt poor yes, yes, they are financed by X and Y groups, but they are still dirt poor and, besides, cannot have anything larger than bombers(doom being the exception).
As for keeping the junkers weak.....
Well, let me put it this way.....no, still got nothing.

I've really got nothing against you getting a cr...
but, how many people does it take to run a RH cr?

Are you saying it takes a large amount of people to crew a Rheinland Cruiser and other cruisers like that, and Junkers just don't have that many cap ship crew available? That is a serious question as I am not quite sure if you mean crew, or how many cruisers do we need.

As for poor xenos there is is a group of about 4 or 5 and together they are quite deadly and efficient.
